During a routine financial modeling session, a simple typo turned catastrophic when an employee mistakenly flipped a positive sign to negative. 📉 This seemingly small mistake went unnoticed in the checks and balances, leading to flawed risk assessments and ultimately a staggering $6 billion trading loss. I believe this incident was enough to prove the importance of Excel.
