To accelerate or not? My Point of View on accelerators is that founders need to be extremely committed to extracting the maximum value from the accelerator resources on one of three vectors. 1) Product Development MVP 2) Customer-User Acquisition 3) Closing Seed financing Ranked in order as MVP allows users, user traction leads to investors. You can only Major in one, with a Minor in the second. Three patterns: 1) MVP with customer/user validation, 2) User Traction with Funding, and 3) Funding with User Traction. Without deliberate team alignment to a committed major-minor focus, the accelerator value is not likely realized. Its accelerator selection season. I hope this helps you think about the process if you are in it. Reach out if you want to swap points of view to see what we can learn.

We’re busy working on our pitch decks, materials, and applying to accelerators. A few we’ve applied to and/or applying to soon: Sequoia ARC, Y Combinator, PearX, and a16z SPEEDRUN. I’ve found that the application process itself is IMMENSELY useful. It’s allowed us to think about things and finely craft/hone our messaging and purpose. Take away from my post: apply to accelerators—there’s value in going through those steps. You’ll learn with each one and be able to sharpen how you think and talk about your product. Cheers!

Did you know? Only 1 out of every 400 pitches gets funded by angel investors! With such tough competition, investors spend most of their time scrutinizing three critical slides: the team, financials, and competition. These elements are key to convincing investors that your startup is worth the investment. Make sure your pitch deck highlights these areas effectively to stand out in the crowded field with zynth.ai !

My top 3 takeaways from our $7.5M seed round with Accel Coming soon in a template in Chronicle! (Drop a comment below, and I’ll send it to you once it’s ready👇) Raising our seed round for Chronicle was an incredible journey. As I reflect on what made our pitch stand out, three key learnings emerged that I believe every founder should keep in mind when crafting their deck: 1️⃣ Company Purpose: Investors want to know why your company exists. We anchored our pitch in a problem that felt relatable and meaningful, then showed how Chronicle would solve it. 2️⃣ Product Story: Your product isn’t just a set of features—it’s the hero of your story. We showcased Chronicle’s journey from idea to a powerful tool that makes stunning stories effortless. 3️⃣ Team Narrative: People bet on people. We didn’t just talk about our product; we highlighted how our team’s passion and experience make us the right people to bring this vision to life. These three pillars formed the heart of our pitch. If you want to dive deeper into how we structured our deck and why it worked, check out my full article in the comments. 👉 And don’t forget—comment below to get the Chronicle pitch deck template based on these learnings as soon as it’s live!
