Scott Zellner, PCC’s Post

Try “Life-Work Balance” I’ve never been a fan of the term “Work-Life Balance.” I wholeheartedly embrace the concept, but balance isn’t quite the right word. Work-Life Harmonization, Integration, or even Trade-offs is more in line with what we are facing in our daily lives. But my bigger issue is how did “Work” get first place in this phrase? Somehow Work always seems to win out when it comes down to work-life decisions. Coaching is often about reframing perspectives, helping clients adopt a more empowering mindset. When I’ve discussed this topic with clients, I often ask “What if you thought of this as Life-Work Balance?” It’s remarkable how this simple shift can lead clients to reprioritize their personal goals and aspirations. So as we enter the Holidays and a New Year, tip the scale to your world outside of work by thinking Life-Work Balance. #LeadershipDevelopment #coaching #lifeworkbalance #LinkedInbyScottZ

Scott, I love this! Finding the right “balance” is so important to happiness and general wellbeing. I believe it is a learned skill that is underpinned by the ability to set boundaries and the self-confidence to maintain them. Great subject to raise as people are reflecting on the year and setting goals for the new year!

Love it Scott! Makes sense to me to reprioritize the phrase, and focus on what matters most… YOU! Thanks for the share
