When we started GoMeddo, our vision was simple: make scheduling on Salesforce effortless. What we didn’t realise was how complex “simple” could be. The journey has been a mix of innovation, resilience, and plenty of late nights. Salesforce isn’t just a platform—it’s an ecosystem, a community, and, at times, a puzzle to figure out. Here are a few things that have stuck with me from our journey so far: 1. 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲: You don’t just build apps; you build relationships—with Salesforce, with customers, and with partners. Learning how to work within Salesforce’s ecosystem is half the challenge, but when you get it right, it’s incredibly rewarding. 2. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐬: One of my biggest surprises has been the power of collaboration. From Salesforce partners to customers who’ve shared their feedback (and sometimes their frustrations), it’s these interactions that shape what we do. 3. 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝: Salesforce evolves quickly, and keeping pace isn’t optional. But this is also what makes it exciting. Anticipating the next move and building solutions that meet those future needs is where the magic happens. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing—early on, we launched some addons that didn’t quite meet expectations, and those lessons still shape how we approach product updates. But every misstep taught us something valuable, and we’ve always been willing to adjust, improve, and move forward. Learning from other ISVs has been crucial to our company’s growth. This was me at 10:48pm Halloween night, on a huddle with my lead engineer solving for a customer. Post trick-or-treating, I changed out of my costume (not even bothering with my makeup), put the kids to bed and then jumped back online (with some confiscated candy 😜) Did it have to be ME? No. But I felt passionate about solving this and I was excited about what it would mean were we successful. (Side note: We were! And also don’t worry; our incredible engineer is getting a day off as a swap for the nearly all-nighter) Plus I believe a good leader should never ask something of their team they wouldn’t themselves be willing to do. "Do we take what we have in terms of tech capabilities for granted?" 💤 Yesterday I donned my HubSpot alter-ego, and attended the HubSpot GROW event alongside Steadman Hub's go-to Connor Pyner. Aside the networking and interesting insights, there was one major observation I made. 💡 We take so much for granted, in our position at the tech coal-face. 💡 I sat in numerous talks hearing about new features across AI, automation and best practice. Some features were ones that were similar to Salesforce, some were new entirely. I found myself somewhat neutral to all of these new developments. However there were genuine GASPS from the audience, who were visibly impressed, with what I and many consider the norm now. 😲 These 'gaspers' were heads of business and CXO's, from various industries, they were genuinely infused by the ability to automate and AI the things we all take for granted. What a week in San Fransisco at #Dreamforce. The scale, execution and passion on display is frankly remarkable. What the Salesforce team have build both in terms of technical capability and community is amazing to see. How do you possibly recap an event that spans 1,500 events over 3 days? Answer: with great difficulty. 1. AGENTFORCE: From the keynote to the hands on session the potential that Agentforce brings it incredible. I cannot wait to see the first Bullhorn Agents translating this awesome tech into awesome outcomes in staffing & recruitment and helping to augment and elevate user, client & talent experiences 🤖 2. DATA, DATA, DATA: There are a hundred analogies for data being the critical foundation for unlocking the benefits of AI & Automation, pick whatever one focus you and your business on putting data at the heart of everything you do. I left #Dreamforce more convinced than ever that those who master their data will win and win big 🔢 3. COMMUNITY: Community can often be confused with a lack of diverse thinking. In the case of the Salesforce community it is the opposite and that was a true highlight of the week. Hearing from & talking to people who have a common technology at their core but who are all pushing the boundaries of where and how that technology can change the world for the better. 💡 💡 💡 Cap it all off with some time with fantastic clients and colleagues.
