🤔 What did you do at the weekend?? My weekend consisted of decorating 🤦 Decorating is something I've always approached with reluctance and resentment. I'm not very good at it and I find it about as interesting as.. well… watching paint dry 🙈 Whenever anyone told me they enjoy it, I thought they'd clearly taken quite a significant blow to the head 🤦🫣 Most of my DIY decorating efforts have ended in a significant contribution to the ‘swear’ jar and paint spillages. It turns out you can cry over spilled paint 😢 🧐 However recently I have taken a different approach. I remembered something that I had read. The idea is that when presented with a difficult or ‘boring’ task, we should ask ourselves ‘what can this teach me?’ 🤔 So I did, I asked myself ‘what can decorating teach me?’ 💭 Once I got past my first initial thought of ‘this can teach me that I absolutely hate decorating’ I came across a pearl of wisdom. This can teach me patience. Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. 🙏Patience is something I have struggled with in the past and still do from time to time but this new approach has allowed me to understand that things take time. There are steps that have to be completed before the next one can begin. Some things need to be left before you continue to work on them. 🙌 This understanding helps to alleviate anxiety and helps promote a healthier and clearer thought process. Patience can lead to mastery 💪 🎤 So In the words of Gazza Barlow “ Have a little patience” 😎 www.hawklifting.co.uk 😎 😎 01226 718830 😎 😎 [email protected] 😎 ✌️ Happy Monday ✌️ David Nixon Jake Nixon Hawk Lifting Ltd Jordan Fairman Scott Robson Paul Waite #hawk #lifting #painting #paint #patience #mastery #liftingequipment #liftinginnovation #liftingsolutions #heavylift #heavylifting #heavyliftingequipment #heavyload #monday #mondaymotivation
