CPG / DTC companies often think about how they can improve their growth strategy by saving money and boosting returns. In today's hyper-competitive market for consumers, where every penny counts, mastering your marketing strategy isn't just nice to have, it's a must. Here's why integrating Data and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) into your strategy can revolutionize your output quality: Precision Targeting: With MMM, you're not just throwing darts in the dark. You're using data to pinpoint exactly where your marketing dollars will have the biggest impact, ensuring you're not overspending on channels that don't deliver. ROI Optimization: Imagine knowing precisely the ROI of every dollar spent across various marketing channels. MMM quantifies these returns, showing you where to invest more or less, dramatically enhancing your campaign's efficiency. Dynamic Adaptability: Markets change, trends shift. MMM provides real-time insights, allowing you to adjust your marketing mix on the fly, ensuring you stay ahead of the curve rather than chasing it. CLV: By understanding CLV through data-driven models, you're not just selling to customers, you're building a deeper connection with them. Marketing efforts become about nurturing lifetime value, not just immediate sales. Competitive Edge: Companies leveraging data in their marketing strategies are significantly outperforming their peers in customer acquisition. Why? Because data-driven decisions cut through the noise, reaching customers with what they want, when they want it saving the customer time and money. Cost Efficiency: The beauty of MMM is that it often reveals how you can achieve more with less. By reallocating budget from underperforming to high-impact channels, you're essentially printing money through efficiency. Strategic Confidence: With proprietary & high quality data backing your decisions, you're not just guessing or following industry trends. You're making informed real time decisions, giving you the confidence to push boundaries creatively while staying rooted in performance metrics. By leveraging data into your MMM marketing strategy you're not just improving output quality—you're crafting a narrative of growth, efficiency, and customer-centric innovation. The future is bright. Be sure to stay ahead of the innovation curve if you're running a business. #AI #dtc #data

In today’s competitive marketing environment, predicting customer responses to campaigns has become crucial for businesses looking to maximize engagement and optimize Return on Investment (ROI). With the increasing availability of data, the ability to accurately forecast customer behavior and fine-tune marketing strategies is more important than ever. This research addresses these challenges by developing a robust predictive model that helps marketers make informed decisions and allocate resources better. We are excited to announce that our paper, titled "Predictive Modeling of Customer Response to Marketing Campaigns," has been accepted for publication in the electronics journal (Impact Factor: 2.6). The study, co-authored by Miglena Pavlova and myself, presents a Decision Tree (DT) model that not only identifies key factors influencing customer responses but also improves campaign targeting accuracy. This work offers practical insights for marketing professionals, helping them refine their strategies and enhance campaign effectiveness. Ever made a marketing decision because: 👉 It just felt right? 👉 Someone on the team said, “It worked for XYZ brand”? 👉 A trend on social media was too shiny to resist? If you’re nodding along, don’t worry—you’re not alone. But here’s the truth: 🚩 Gut feelings can mislead. 🚩 Viral trends fizzle out faster than they appear. 🚩 And hearsay? It’s rarely built for your brand. Guesswork marketing often looks like throwing money at ads without knowing which ones really drive conversions. The result? Burned budgets, missed opportunities, and KPIs that leave you scratching your head. Imagine if you knew: 📊 Which campaigns make your audience click, buy, and share. 🧠 What emotions drive their decisions—excitement, trust, curiosity? 🌍 Where your audience engages most, so you can localize your strategy. 🏆 How your performance stacks up against competitors, so you always stay a step ahead. This isn’t just about making informed decisions—it’s about creating strategies that work. 🔑 Use sentiment analysis to decode customer preferences. 🔑 Track metrics that matter: CTRs, conversions, and churn. 🔑 Benchmark your brand against industry leaders to find your edge. 🔑 Analyse campaign performance in real-time and tweak for maximum ROI. The days of guessing are over. The power of data-driven marketing? It’s not just smart—it’s game-changing. So, marketers, founders, and CXOs: are you still gambling on success? Or ready to start building it with data? Your move. #CX #CustomerExperience #Marketing #Ads #Marketer #CSM #CustomerSuccess #CMO #SocialMedia #GenerativeAI #Analytics

Marketers doing attribution: "At least we're burning calories" 📊 👀 Let's talk about "The Attribution Trap" You know the meeting: "But how do we PROVE marketing influenced the deal?" "What about the LinkedIn post they saw in 2021?" "Did we track the webinar they didn't attend?" Meanwhile in DTC: They're busy making ads that work. Here's B2B's obsession with "perfect" attribution: Growth: "We need exact ROI numbers" Marketing: "Here's our 47-tab attribution model" Sales: *Already closed the deal* B2B marketers will spend: → $200,000 on a trade show booth → $150,000 on a fancy dashboard → $100,000 on attribution modeling But won't spend: → $1,000 testing new ad formats → $500 on creative that converts → $0 on actually making something While B2B marketers are building the perfect attribution model: - Creative is getting stale - Competitors are testing - Markets are shifting 📌 Friendly reminder: Focus more on your creative. And less on the 1043 touch attribution model. h/t The Marketing Millennials for the meme inspiration 😂

Should we actually care for data-driven decision-making in the field of marketing? 7 in 10 leading marketers are using it. Why? Data-driven marketing isn't just about collecting numbers; it's about transforming those numbers into actionable insights. It's about understanding your customers better than they understand themselves and delivering what they need, even before they know they need it. This approach is not only smart - it's essential. Here’s why: ↪️ Precision Targeting: By analysing customer data, we can identify specific segments and target them with personalised messages. This precision leads to better engagement and higher conversion rates. For example, we offer family discounts to regular park visitors. ↪️ Improved Customer Experience: Data helps to understand customer behaviour and preferences, allowing us to tailor experiences that resonate with our TG. At Imagicaaworld Entertainment we use customer feedback to customize experiences. At the end of the day, happy customers are loyal customers. ↪️ Enhanced Decision-Making: Leading marketers are 1.6X as likely to believe that open access to data leads to higher business performance. When you base your decisions on real data, you're making informed choices that drive growth. ↪️ Cost Efficiency: Data-driven strategies help in optimising your marketing spend. By focusing on what's proven to work, you reduce waste and maximise ROI. For instance, we track the success of promotional campaigns to focus on the scope of improvement areas. ↪️ Agility and Adaptability: In a fast-changing market, data allows you to quickly adapt to new trends and customer needs. Being data-driven means being agile. To ensure that we are always agile, we add popular seasonal events or adjust park hours based on visitor patterns. Incorporating data into your marketing strategy isn’t just an option anymore - it’s a necessity. The more you understand and utilise data, the more you can predict, personalise, and perfect your approach. As the landscape continues to evolve, the brands that harness the power of data will be the ones leading the charge, driving not only their own growth but setting new industry standards. Don't just take my word for it - look at the stats. The future of marketing is data-driven, and the future is now. Are we harnessing its power? #DataDrivenMarketing #MarketingStrategy #CustomerExperience #BusinessGrowth #ROI

From a demand generation perspective I have started to see Marketers putting more time in excel than understanding customers. I think we have now taken Marketing analytics to the other extreme (where we only rely on data) and not on any other insights. And one of the key insights are channel x user behaviour. Because not all channels are created equal. Some channels are more amenable to ads, while some are actually hostile (user distrust brands with ads) and some channels are meant solely for ads! As a startup founder or demand generation marketer, what you should be doing is mapping the channels to the stages of the funnel coupled with user behaviour. This will help you understand which channels you could target first (and how) and which channels should be on lower priority (even though your audience might be frequent there!) Not going to lie, this is still an art. But once you start cracking this, you start to unlock more and more value from your demand gen campaigns.

According to research from Zeta Global, 1 in 3 CMOs say campaign performance needs to improve, but they are still struggling to identify strategies that positively impact ROI. Some strategies might include investing in additional ad spend for acquisition, a CDP for better segmentation, and/or AI for faster & smarter execution. However...there is a pivotal piece of the puzzle that often gets overlooked. In order to maximize investments like these across your organization, drive better campaign performance, and ultimately hit revenue goals, you need to start at the source: 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Getting this critical piece right accelerates and maximizes the ROI of your entire tech stack, including campaign performance (garbage in, garbage out is a real thing). But how does better data collection impact these strategies? 🤔 ⏺ 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝? Enable highly specialized cross-brand retargeting & affinity analysis, while also automatically filtering out fraudulent bot traffic that wastes your valuable ad spend. ⏺ 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐂𝐃𝐏? Increase match rates & amplify addressability, even for anonymous users while ensuring that your CDP works with the most consistent, accurate, and compliant customer event data possible by collecting customer information server-side. ⏺ 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐈? Train your models with 2x more and better customer data (without additional marketing spend) to amplify the accuracy and effectiveness - while also ensuring the data you're using to power those models are real and compliant.
