Interesting stats from a recent ConnectWise marketing survey of MSPs: 42% of respondents spend less than $10K on marketing Best-in-class MSPs only spend 1.8% of revenue on marketing Only 20% are fairly confident or completely confident in their marketing tactics "We spend about 6% on marketing. Other companies tend to spend 8% to 12% of revenue, that's more in line with expectations." - Angus Robertson, ConnectWise CMO at #ITNConnect 2024 Link to the report: https://lnkd.in/ewywyfj9
Scott Campbell I was in that session as well as that data was very interesting. As advisors to clients, we need to educate on the value of marketing as a key investment to growth. If they're growing to slow, and spending too little, we need to show that correlation. Angus Robertson has a great grasp of the omni-channel approach required to market well.
Truly powerful stats. I was surprised by the 1.8% stat. Also, really great presentation.
Thanks, Scott. Great to see you there!

1moMarketing spend is really about so many factors. back in the day Salesforce spent 50+% and my days at a large MSP vendor it was like 28% - in the end it’s about what goals you are trying to get to, and the spend to get you there. Benchmarks are interesting but not something to strive to get to -
