This study offers a deeper perspective by integrating empirical data with phenomenological approaches to autism, affectivity, and online interactions. Thought for the weekend! I find myself coming back to this quote in many interactions, usually in response to “but I know someone with autism who…” The complicated reality is that autism is not one-size-fits-all—that’s why it’s called a spectrum! Restricted interests and repetitive behaviors show up in many different ways, and social communication struggles can be masked.
