At the recently concluded NVIDIA Summit 2024 in Mumbai, which Team SecPod had the honour of attending, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, in his keynote session with Mukesh Ambani, discussed the evolution of computing from IBM's System 360 to modern innovations like the CUDA programming model, which has transformed general-purpose computing.
We were also then introduced to NVIDIA's Blackwell supercomputer, designed for advanced AI learning and generative applications. Huang then highlighted to Mr. Ambani and the audience about NVIDIA's initiatives in India to build an extensive AI infrastructure and local language models, aiming to position the country as a global AI leader.
The conference deeply emphasized the importance of ethical AI governance and the need for advanced computing capabilities to support various sectors, including healthcare and weather forecasting.

Nvidia's new Blackwell B200 GPU and GB200 superchip are set to revolutionize the world of AI. With a 30x increase in speed and a 25x decrease in cost and energy consumption compared to its predecessor, this new chip can handle complex AI models with a fraction of the power and number of chips needed before.
The leap in efficiency and power means AI can now learn from massive data more quickly and cheaply, making advanced and more capable AI technologies more accessible while improving their performance at a remarkable pace. Essentially, AI is about to make the jump from Pac-man to Mario-cart.
