This National Work Life Week, we’re shining the spotlight on our People team and the policies and processes they’ve created to support our team’s work-life balance ⚖️ We recognise that life affects work in many ways—and that's OK. Our team is made up of working parents, lunchtime runners, therapygoers, and, most of all, real humans with real-life stuff to manage. From flexible working to mental wellness support, and parental leave to compassionate leave, we ensure we support our team through big life events and day-to-day life realities. We also believe in balance when it comes to finding the role of your dreams. Our hiring processes are designed to ensure landing a job with us doesn’t become a full-time job in itself! We clearly outline role expectations, define success, disclose the compensation range, and map out the hiring process—giving our candidates confidence in the time they invest in the interview process. Thanks to Clare Mullen, Samantha Bergquist Foshee, and Rhea Nana for sharing their work-life wisdom with us! ✨

I love building processes, but I care about something else more. The promotions of the leaders who we build them with. One of my core values is "Leave people better off". Helping businesses is great, but helping people grow their careers is better. When a client is given a promotion because they can clearly show how a process improved under our watch, I am grinning from ear to ear. I really believe that business can be a force of good for people to make impact in their communities and provide for their families. That promotion means that they can afford more for their family, have better work life balance, find more joy in work, and hire more people. It lights me up. That's why I'm documenting the process work we've done for clients. So I can more consistently leave people better off. If you're driven by the same goal, check out my process playbook. You can find it in the link in the comments below. Let's make better processes that make people's lives better.

Summer is finally here, and it's the perfect time to unwind, recharge, and make the most of the sunshine! I want to encourage all employers to prioritize their employees' well-being by allowing them to enjoy some well-deserved time off. Taking time off allows employees to destress, spend quality time with loved ones, and return to work with renewed energy and focus. It's a chance for them to disconnect from work and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, whether that's lounging by the pool, exploring nature, or simply soaking up the sun. By prioritizing employee well-being and encouraging a healthy work-life balance, we can create a happier, more motivated, and more productive workforce. Here's to a summer filled with relaxation, adventure, and unforgettable memories! #SummerTimeOff #EmployeeWellBeing #WorkLifeBalance"

Did you know there’s a National Work Life Week? If you've been part of my LI network for a while, by now you should know how much this means to me! During National Work Life Week (which is this week!), I want to remind everyone that taking time for yourself isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. 🧑🏻⚖️ In my own experience, I’ve had to learn how to set boundaries, take breaks, and focus on self-care to prevent burnout. This isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about ensuring longevity in our careers, doing our best work and maintaining a healthy balance that supports our well-being. 🙌🏻 Curious about how I manage my own work-life balance? I prattle on in this video about some of the strategies that help me stay grounded while driving success at Elevate Global . 👇🏻 #NationalWorkLifeWeek #WorkLifeBalance #WellbeingAtWork #MentalHealth #SelfCare

Mental Health Advocate💛 | Proud Introvert✨| I help you monetize and grow your personal brand on LinkedIn, send me a DM to work with me 1:1
A former company I worked at replaced me the day I left. My credentials weren’t even deactivated yet before they replaced me. To make it worse they sent an email out to the entire team when I left telling everyone I wasn’t able to cut it here despite constantly making the leaderboard. I worked 60-80 hour weeks, nights, weekends, and it was all to be disposable. I never had a life outside of work. Now it’s quite the opposite, I invest in life work balance and always put me and my relationships first. A job is only a part of your life, not the entirety. Make time life outside of work. You weren’t just born to pay bills and die ❤️

Most of us, at some point in our careers, have worked for a manager who pushed us toward quitting. It took me a while to truly understand what I desire in a job, a team, a company and especially in my manager. "Imagine waking up in the morning and your ideal workday begins. It's your perfect day! Please write down things which are important to you. They could be words, images, colors, feelings..." It was my reflection exercise on workplace environment. Every imagination led me to just one word: Safe! Nothing but psychological safety! Psychological safety is the belief that we won't be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes. Psychological safety to me is simply a manager and a team who emphasize Safety in Asking Questions! But I don't fully trust when one says, "No such thing as stupid questions." I look at their behaviors! → Lead by example. → Encourage open dialogue. → Be approachable. → Regular check-ins. → Reward curiosity. → And if something is unclear enough that multiple people question it, they know they have something to improve. Environment plays a vital role in our personal development journey. Choose wisely! Choose psychological safety! And don't be afraid to walk away if it turns out to be a toxic place. It's non-negotiable, my friends.

Professional norms are evolving, and what was once taboo is now becoming mainstream. A few shifts I've noticed: 1. Taking gap time. The race to climb the corporate ladder is gradually slowing down. More people are embracing time off to recharge or explore passions. I personally took a 2-month unpaid leave to travel solo in Europe, and it was one of my best decisions. 2. Unconventional revenue streams. Many fields such as content creation, online coaching and many more are gathering speed now, and opening up new, viable income opportunities beyond traditional careers. 3. Work-Life Balance: There’s been a mindset shift. Work-life balance isn’t just a “nice-to-have” anymore; it’s a necessity for productivity and well-being. Early in my career, I didn’t take a single day off in a year. Now, I often find myself running out of vacation days! What shifts have you noticed?

As we step into National Work Life Week, it's the perfect time to pause and reflect on how well we, as a company, are supporting the balance between our team's professional and personal lives. At The Mindset Consultancy, we work with passionate individuals striving to excel in their careers while also honouring their personal commitments. 🚀 This week serves as a gentle reminder to evaluate these priorities and ensure that neither work nor life overshadows the other. 🕶️ In our experience with clients, we've witnessed incredible transformations when companies truly commit to fostering work-life balance. It’s not just about offering flexible hours or remote work options (though we agree, those are fantastic!); it’s about creating a culture where employees feel empowered to manage their time effectively and confidently unplug when needed. When businesses prioritise well-being, the benefits are clear: increased productivity, creativity, and overall happiness. 📈 Let’s use this week as a starting point for ongoing conversation. Whether you're a leader or a team member, think about how you can contribute to a healthier work-life dynamic within your organisation. Maybe it’s through an open discussion on expectations, or perhaps by setting clearer boundaries. Together, we can support each other in finding that elusive balance that brings out the best in everyone. ⚖️ How is your organisation embracing National Work Life Week? Let’s share ideas and inspire each other in the comments below! 👇

Have minor setbacks like passing away ever gotten in the way of pressing tasks like emails, meeting deadlines, or that all-important sixteenth video call of the day? Well, we're excited to announce that those interruptions are officially a thing of the past. Today marks the launch of our groundbreaking WFA (Work From Afterlife) initiative. As part of our ongoing commitment to employee well-being, we are now extending work opportunities beyond the realm of the living, without any reduction in pay. Here's why we're doing it: 1. Many cultures view death as a transition rather than an ending—this has never been truer than in corporate life. 2. We’re capitalizing on a "first to market" advantage. While we expect others to follow suit, we aim to be pioneers in this space, leading the way in corporate necromancy. 3. The afterlife opens up an entirely untapped recruitment pool. This untapped talent presents a great opportunity, and we’re even rolling out a referral program for those who can recruit from the beyond. 4. If the devil can put in 24/7 work, why shouldn’t we aim for the same? 5. Employees often ask, "How can I have 25 years of experience at 18 years old?" Once you’re reincarnated, your experience from beyond will carry over, allowing you to build on your legacy from day one. After all, growth is a continuous process. 6. Emotions, much like inefficiency, belong in outdated systems—not in a high-performance environment like ours. We’re thrilled to be launching these features, which we believe will redefine productivity across the firm.Remember, your afterlife work defines your afterlife worth.
