🧠 Today is World Mental Health Day, and this year's theme focuses on prioritising mental health in the workplace. At Scan.com HQ, we're committed to making mental health a year-round priority—not just something we talk about today. But, talking is often the most important place to start, and today reminds us all to check in on those we work with. To support this, we’ve circulated a mental health cheat sheet across the team, ensuring everyone knows how to access our well-being resources. We’re proud to provide flexible working for appointments, school drop-offs, gym sessions, walking meetings, and longer lunches, as well as free talking therapy, tailored time off policies, and monthly well-being budgets. We’re also encouraging our team to share how they make time for their mental health. So far, our Slack has been filled with lots of life's little joys, from morning walks and yoga classes to pet cuddles, book recommendations, beach trips, and tips for unwinding after work. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthAtWork

Whether you’re at work, home, or anywhere in between, your mental health deserves attention and care. This year’s theme, Mental Health at Work, reminds us that our well-being doesn’t stop at the office door—it’s something we carry with us wherever we go. No matter what you do or where you are, here are a few simple ways to take care of your mental health: 💙 Pause and Reflect: Take a moment to breathe and check in with yourself during busy days, whether at work or at home. 💙 Set Boundaries: Protect your time and energy. Whether it’s stepping away from your desk for a break or saying no to an overwhelming task, boundaries help maintain balance. 💙 Stay Connected: Reach out to others, whether it's a colleague, a friend, or a loved one. Connection is key to staying grounded. 💙 Seek Support When Needed: It’s okay to ask for help. Whether you’re struggling at work or elsewhere, there’s always someone ready to listen. Taking care of your mental health is essential, no matter where life takes you. Let’s work together to create a world where mental health is prioritized both at work and in our personal lives. 📧 info@yourlifedesign.ca 🌐 www.yourlifedesign.ca #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealthAtWork #TakeCareOfYou #SupportEachOther #YourLifeDesignInc #Wellbeing

🌍 World Mental Health Awareness Day 2024 🌱 Today, we take a moment to reflect on the importance of mental health in both our personal and professional lives. As we strive for success, it's essential to remember that our well-being is the foundation that supports our achievements. For me, enhancing my mental health is a multifaceted journey. I find joy and strength in spending quality time with family and friends, which nourishes my spirit and keeps my cup full. Additionally, I prioritise time in nature, allowing the tranquillity of the outdoors to recharge my mind. I also value moments of solitude for personal reflection, alongside my passion for crafting and creativity, which serves as a wonderful outlet for self-expression. I believe that prioritising mental health is not just a personal commitment, but a collective responsibility in our workplaces. How do you prioritise your own well-being? Let's share our strategies and inspire one another to cultivate healthier work environments. #MentalHealthAwareness #WellBeing #WorkLifeBalance #SelfCare #NatureTherapy #Creativity #MentalHealthMatters #LinkedInCommunity

World Mental Health Day was established on October 10, 1992, to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to reduce the stigma surrounding the issue. The theme for World Mental Health Day 2024 is "It is time to prioritize mental health in the workplace.” At DEA, we prioritize a workplace where employees are supported in their mental well-being. That's why we provide a wide range of mental health resources, including: • Mental health webinars and online resources. • A 24/7 Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for counseling on issues such as marital or family problems, emotional or mental health issues, substance abuse, stress problems, eating disorders, and more. • A Lifestyle Spending Account for physical and emotional well-being purchases, such as meditation classes, music, reading accessories, retreats, and self-help books. • Free Calm App Memberships. We believe having mentally resilient, happy, and healthy employees is vital to DEA’s success. #WorldMentalHealthDay

🌍 Mental Health Day 2024: A Personal Reflection 🌱 As I spend time with my students and my two almost teenage sons, I see firsthand how vital mental health has become in our lives. It’s easy to overlook, but just as we prioritize our physical well-being, we need to train our minds to adapt to life's ups and downs. I often reflect on my own journey. Success is rewarding, but it’s the failures that have taught me the most valuable lessons. It’s during those tough times that I learned the importance of self-compassion and reaching out for support. Identifying what makes us happy isn’t always straightforward. For me, I’ve found that one of the simplest joys comes from helping others. Just being there for someone, lending an ear, or sharing a smile can create moments of connection that lift us all. So, let’s start a conversation about mental health—it's not just a topic for a day but a lifelong journey. What brings you joy? How do you support your own mental wellness? Let’s share our experiences and help one another navigate this path. After all, we’re in this together. 💚 #MentalHealthDay #Community #Support

🌟 Happy Friday, everyone! 🌟 As we wrap up Mental Health Awareness Week, let's take a moment to reflect on the importance of mental well-being in our personal and professional lives. This week has been a powerful reminder that mental health is just as crucial as physical health, and it's something we should prioritise every day. Here are a few ways we can continue to support mental health beyond this week: • Practice Self-Care: Take time each day to do something that brings you joy and relaxation. Whether it's reading a book, going for a walk, or simply taking a few deep breaths, self-care is essential. • Stay Connected: Reach out to friends, family, and colleagues. A supportive conversation can make a huge difference. • Promote a Healthy Work Environment: Encourage open discussions about mental health at work. Creating a supportive and understanding workplace can help everyone feel more comfortable and valued. • Educate Yourself: Stay informed about mental health issues and resources. The more we know, the better we can support ourselves and others. Let's carry the spirit of Mental Health Awareness Week with us throughout the year. Wishing you all a restful and rejuvenating weekend! 💚 #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #SelfCare #MentalWellbeing #SupportEachOther #FridayFeeling #MentalHealthMatters

Happy World Mental Health Day! Each year, the World Federation of Mental Health picks a different theme, and the theme this year is workplace mental health. We’re highlighting the ways Shared Reading can help you to feel your best when you’re at home or work. Did you know three of our key aims are to reduce social isolation, boost wellbeing and improve connection? So, how do we do that? For us, it’s about bringing people together, sharing different types of literature (such as poetry, short stories, articles & more), and using what we've heard to spark conversations. We provide a safe environment where there’s no pressure to join in, but everyone’s thoughts are welcome and appreciated. Why not join one of our sessions? All of our groups are free, friendly and fun! But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what our participants have to say 👇 Find out more by clicking here: https://lnkd.in/d_YaYTKJ #WMHD2024 #SharedReading #DerbyBookFest

1moLove seeing companies making mental health a real priority, not just a talking point for today. Flexible working, well-being budgets, and sharing what keeps us grounded—these aren't small things, they're game-changers. Big respect for leading by example.
