I am working in TV content aggregation and distribution now since almost 30 years. In that time my team and I advised TV channels & platforms on their content strategy and helped numerous content owners (namely TV channels) to distribute and license their product to various markets. When it comes down to find the 'magic trick' on how to curate the right content, it comes down to a handful of criteria, that are part of the aggregation / distribution process. ❣️ Quality & Originality: Exceptional storytelling and production value are a must! 😀 Audience Appeal: Content needs to resonate with the target demographic and spark engagement. 💰 Commercial Viability: The potential for revenue generation is crucial in today's competitive market. 🧑⚖️ Rights & Clearances: Ensuring all legal aspects are covered is non-negotiable. 🎬 Format & Tech Specs: Content must meet the technical requirements for seamless delivery. Additionally, I also consider the following: 🔃 Brand Alignment: Content should complement the channel's or platform's overall identity and values. 🌀 Current Trends: Staying ahead of the curve and understanding evolving viewer preferences is essential. 👁️ Talent & Creative Team: The involvement of reputable talent and a strong creative team can significantly enhance a project's appeal. If you boil this down to own mantra, that I keep on telling clients and myself, I would say it is always about RELEVANCE.
