Hi everyone ! I'm looking for a motivated and dynamic colleague to join my team in the European Commission's Audiovisual Service.
Want to gain some communications experience in the European Commission?
The is a Social Media expert post – the person selected will be hired via an external contractor.
As member of the Distribution Team, your tasks will be mostly focused on creating and implementing a strong content dissemination strategy; creating daily social media content related to Commission’s audiovisual productions; monitoring new features, formats and trends; planning and carrying out the internal and external promotion of our content; community management; producing reporting and relevant statistics and metrics and extracting from them meaningful insights, and much more.
Required skills:
• At least 5 years of experience in managing / creating content for social media accounts
• Excellent writing skills in English, minimum C1
• Solid knowledge/understanding of EU affairs and priority topics of the European Commission
• Experience in using social media analytics (such as Emplify) tools is an asset
• Previous knowledge of social media paid promotion is an asset
• Knowledge of basic graphic tools such as Canva is an advantage
• Capacity to work under time constraints
• Ability to research content and to translate difficult policy language into understandable content for social media audiences
• Good interpersonal skills and proactive approach
• Good presentation skills
