The presentation will outline the utility of using Mass Open Online Courses (MOOC) as a mechanism for supporting equity and diversity in tertiary education though the medium of advances in technology enhanced leaning. Specifically, it will cover: 1. What are MOOCs co-production and how are they being used in the learning and teaching community. 2. Co-production of MOOCs from the perspective from autistic individuals Practical considerations for developing online learning that promotes diversity and equity in learning and teaching. 3. What next for MOOCs, how can we develop co-produced authentic learning and teaching experiences? This can potentially save a school’s students hundreds of thousands of dollars, cumulatively. Exams that students can prepare for with Kaplan free-of-cost include the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, NCLEX-RN, USMLE, Uniform Bar Exam and Certified Financial Planner, among many others. Is this "innovative" or just going back to the roots and mission of higher education? Universities (even smaller, teaching focused ones) struggle with this because tuition is not enough to cover the costs? Athletics, well, that's a quagmire in and of itself. Research agendas - another costly quagmire. Students will attend the institution if they see a clear and linear pathway to a career. More "innovative" models connecting curriculum to industry and community partners, more practical and experiential learning models, project based and hands on learning models, etc... Have to make it relevant and meaningful. These things don't have to be mutually exclusive with all the other aspects, but most higher ed institutions treat them that way.

Excited to share that I'll be delivering a keynote speech on "The Shape of Future Education - A Global Perspective" at the upcoming WCE conference at Cambridge. As the world continues to evolve rapidly, it's crucial that we re-examine the role of education and how it needs to adapt to best prepare the next generation. I look forward to sharing insights, sparking discussion, and hearing different perspectives from the attendees.
