The most important pillar in cloud computing is availability and quality. In order to maintain quality while deploying the features our customers demand, we leverage controlled experimentation and A/B testing. As part of this role, you will work on features that enable deploying controlled experiments for new features coming in at a break-neck pace at cloud scale, in a fully automated manner. We leverage data science and graph theory to design the controlled experiments, ensuring coverage of key properties while satisfying the requirements of our customers and constraints of our cloud environment. This involves developing efficient heuristics for NP-hard problems on the Azure graph. Imagine min path cover and min clique cover on steroids. Once the environments are designed and the runs are complete, our team raises high precision alerts using hypothesis testing, establishing causation between the change introduced and the issues observed. When I first started learning cloud computing I struggled to the point of almost giving up. AWS, Azure, GCP...or would something else be easier? Could I maybe get away with never learning it? I randomly picked AWS (because I read it had the biggest market share) Then I saw how many services they had on offer, and I felt like I was back to square one, I didn't know where to start. I went and talked to hiring managers & recruiters and made myself a plan of attack. But again, whenever I'd try to learn a given service, it often just didn't make sense because I was so used to working locally. After a lot of slow progress, I got some core fundamentals under my belt, but still felt like a novice. I landed a role at Amazon and started using Redshift, S3, and IAM. At PlayStation, I got much more skilled with EC2 and Lambda and these helped me run and prototype concepts for the PlayStation 5. I started earning around $1000 per day in this role because of it. I started to feel much more confident. The cloud has opened so many doors in my career, and it took my earning potential through the roof. I'd love to help you achieve the same. MLOps networking question: is there anyone based in India whose known for being great at MLOps? Like maybe they’ve - given some really great talks, or - done ML end to end (a few different ways/times), or - seen the full picture done at both small and LARGE data science teams, or - thought deeply about the various tools and where they fall short, and - are friendly and active in some of the communities - gone past the basics: anyone can train a model and get a batch inference pipeline or endpoint out the door—but few have thought about the hard problems like backfilling, monitoring, collaboration/exp tracking, governance, reproducibility, feature management, GPUs, working with lakehouses, data versioning, medium and large datasets, or lineage/data contracts I’m guessing they’d be a staff or principal engineer or maybe a lead / director. (Or undertitled) I can name a few people I know like this *outside* of India, but my network isn’t as strong there. (I’m thinking of Maria Vechtomova, Başak Tuğçe Eskili, 👨🏻💻 Jaco van Gelder) I’m hiring! It’s either a staff, principle, and/or tech lead. There's a team in Pune they'd be guiding/mentoring. I’m new to the team and the time difference in India makes communication harder so I want to find a friend I can trust and rely on to learn with me and make our ML Platform one of the best in the world. And also have fun with. We’re on Snowflake and AWS. Looking to hire a lot and select tools this year for the largest 3rd party seller on Amazon. We get to rebuild the platform from scratch for a really willing team in a profitable, private company of ~1600 where DS/AI/ML/BI is the star of the show right now. I recently tackled an interesting Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problem that involves reversing a portion of a singly linked list asked by Microsoft. Approach: Edge Case Handling: Start by checking if the list is empty or if left == right, in which case, no action is required, and we simply return the head. Traversal to the Left Position: We'll traverse the linked list to find the node just before the left position. This node is crucial as it will eventually point to the start of our reversed segment. Reversing the Sublist: Once at the left position, we begin the process of reversing the segment of the list up to the right position. During this process, we carefully update the pointers to ensure the nodes are linked correctly. Reconnecting the Reversed Sublist: After reversing, we need to reconnect the sublist back to the original list. The node at the left - 1 position should point to the new head of the reversed sublist, and the original head of the sublist should point to the node following right.
