“After a mass shooting, your community will become a circus of media, well-wishers, gun violence prevention groups, those wanting TV exposure to promote their own organization for fundraising opportunities, self described “experts” also wanting media attention, and inappropriate calls for museum archiving for temporary memorials before family members are even buried. You will also be inundated with calls from from community non profits from other mass shootings offering their “help”. Depending on the nonprofit, what they tell you may result in the retraumatization and revictimization of those suffering most.” Visit VictimsFirst.org to learn best practices.

🚨**Attention Everyone:**🚨 Please remember, guns should not be used to celebrate—they are dangerous firearms, not toys or fireworks. Do not use them to mark your 4th of July festivities tonight. Your children are watching, and the example you set matters greatly. Please, just don't do it. Kids, if you see an adult with a weapon tonight, stay back, walk away, and find a responsible adult immediately. It's never okay to handle a weapon while you are joking, drinking or being silly. GRASP is genuinely concerned for everyone's safety tonight. Celebratory gunfire can lead to deadly consequences and is classified as deadly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor. Be safe RGV! Have a safe and happy 4th of July! #GRASPCARES #safetyfirst #gunsafety #gunawareness #responsibility #wecan #safety #kidpower #knowledgesaveslives #gunresponsibility #parentscare #nochances #beaware #knowmore #graspit #besmart #nomore #nonprofit #domore

Gun-control groups think the gun ban is a waste of money Gage Haubrich Franco Terrazzano - CTF Federal Director <[email protected]> [email protected] Hey Violet Rose Molly, You know that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s gun ban and confiscation is a waste of money and won’t do anything to stop crime. Now one of the most prominent gun-control groups in the country do too. “It’s a waste of Canadians’ money,” said the gun-control group PolyRemembers. “It’s just for appearances.” There are still differences of opinion. Gun-control groups want to ban even more guns. Meanwhile, the union that represents the RCMP says stopping smuggling is a better plan. But everyone can agree on one thing: Ottawa’s current gun ban and confiscation policy won’t work. Moments like this don’t happen often. You need to build on this momentum. Because this failed policy is already costing you millions. Ottawa has spent $67 million on the so-called gun ban and buyback since announcing the program in 2020. All those millions of dollars haven’t “bought back” a single firearm. In total, estimates show that Trudeau’s scheme could cost taxpayers up to $756 million just to buyback the guns, according to the Parliamentary Budget Officer. New Zealand also imposed a similar gun ban in 2019. It didn’t work. Costs to administer it doubled and gun crime in New Zealand increased. The National Police Federation, the union that represents the RCMP, says Ottawa’s buyback, “diverts extremely important personnel, resources, and funding away from addressing the more immediate and growing threat of criminal use of illegal firearms.” Dominic Leblanc is the minister in charge of the gun ban. He needs to know even gun-control advocates are calling his program a useless waste of money. This is your chance to send Leblanc an email. Please keep it short and respectful. When you use the automatic link below, it’ll send us a copy because it helps to know what people are telling politicians. Will you let Leblanc know it’s time to scrap the failed gun ban and confiscation before it wastes even more money? YES – I’ll email Leblance (just click this link and a pre-addressed email will pop up) No – I don’t want to send him an email today (if you’d like to tell us why, just click here) Note: In case the automatic link isn’t working on your device, here is the email address for Leblanc: [email protected] Thanks for stepping up and fighting for taxpayers – it’s making a difference! Sincerely, Gage Haubrich Prairie Director Canadian Taxpayers Federation P.S.: It only takes a minute to send a message to Leblanc and let him know that taxpayers want the federal government to scrap the gun buyback: [email protected] Like us on Facebook Follow us on Instagram Forward to a friend We just launched our new Taxpayer Newsletter.
