As we step into August, and it is now just over six months since I took this role - it's the perfect time to reflect on the incredible journey I have had at FIS leading the sales recruitment team. It has been a true journey so far, challenging but so rewarding, with the first half of 2024 filled with valuable lessons and immense growth. Here are a few key takeaways: 1. **Adaptability is Key**: The fintech landscape is ever-evolving. Take comfort in the fact that there will be tons of people on the market. 7) Approach Talent Acquisition to discover team has been disbanded. 8) Put together a non-negotiable job description to lure in the hordes of unemployed perfect candidates 9) Post a job advert and get 400 responses, all based overseas. Give up reviewing on irrelevant applicant #34 10) Bite the bullet and go to a recruiter, wonder why you didn't just do that 3 months ago. Rinse & Repeat!
