Green investments hit record highs in 2024 – but uncertainty looms ahead Yesterday, Camilla Fenneberg (CEO of EvodiaBio) and I spoke with Børsen about the recent uptick in investment activity within green tech (https://lnkd.in/dYPM4a8E). Danish investments in green technology have reached new heights, with 1.8 billion DKK invested in the first three quarters of 2024. One example is EvodiaBio, a pioneering biotech startup in our portfolio, which develops sustainable flavor solutions – showcasing the long-term value of green innovation. As Camilla says: "We see strong investor interest in green technologies with long-term impact, but raising capital has become more challenging as investors are more cautious and thorough." From my perspective it’s evident that challenges lie ahead. Rising interest rates, geopolitical uncertainty, and cautious investors are creating bumps in the road for the green transition. I try to summarize it in the article like this: "The momentum in green investments is undeniable, but we expect increased investor caution in 2025. Long-term value must stand strong against short-term uncertainty." Exciting times for green innovation – but the road ahead will require resilience.
