CELEBRATING A BUSINESS ANNIVERSARY, EXPANDING, ANNOUNCING A NEW PARTNERSHIP OR LAUNCHING A NEW PRODUCT?
Business milestones are strategic opportunities to tell your story and to achieve business goals, like:
1. Boosting your team's morale
2. Revisiting your "why"
3. Creating momentum
4. Recognizing your people
5. Casting your vision
6. Getting noticed
7. Reinforcing your culture
8. Sharing how your company is "giving back"
Milestones can be expensive to celebrate, but when they align with a business strategy, your investment will have a greater payoff.

I'd like to thank everyone who's reached out with the good ole' 'work anniversary congratulations'! One facet of LinkedIn I've always enjoyed when it comes to watching friends and industry peers advance through their careers. For me, it's always a time to do a little reflection. So yes, I just hit the 3 year mark with Hawx, so thought I'd share a little about the last 3 years.
🔊 Immense gratitude for Matthew MehrScott Wilson and Jonathan Gleave for inviting me on this rocket ship of a ride and entrusting in me to bring value to Hawx and creating a role that empowers me to experience the multiple facets of operations, sales and everything in between!
🔊 The value of our people. It goes without saying that an organization is only as good as the people you have in the "trenches". Everyday it's a pleasure working along side amazing people who bring fresh perspectives, new ideas and who are willing to challenge the status quo.
🔊 D2D! I know there's a lot of opinions on D2D, what I can attest is that it works. Put the right people in place, supported by strong leadership in the field, with a focus on doing what's right, taking care of the customer, taking care of employees and embracing the dynamics it brings. Amazing things can happen!
🔊 The power of technology & data. An aspect of coming to Hawx I was excited about, was exploring how to do some things different. It's been so rewarding to lean into technology and data to see/watch how data can simply drive better decision making and also elevate the employee and customer experience. Embrace it!
🔊 And last, I love our annual "themes"...it brings our teams together and keeps things "fresh"! 2022: Prove Them Wrong ✅ 2023: Level Up ✅ 2024: Become ✅ - setting the tone, establishing the culture and making it happen!
Amazing company, colleagues and industry. Let's keep it rolling!
Why is it so important to be grateful for our successes? This Thanksgiving, let’s explore how celebrating our wins can carry us forward.
🌟 Savoring Success with a Grateful Heart 🌟
Thanksgiving always reminds me of the power of gratitude—not just for the people around us, but for the moments that define our journeys.
Recently, I came across a post that perfectly captured this spirit. A young woman shared her incredible journey of designing a product, securing a patent, traveling to oversee its manufacturing, and finally seeing it on retail shelves. The photo of her standing proudly beside her creation was pure joy. 🎉
In the comments, someone said, "Can’t wait to see what you’re working on next!" And while that excitement is understandable (and well-deserved!), it made me reflect on how often we move too quickly from one success to the next without pausing to savor what we’ve achieved.
This season of gratitude is the perfect time to reflect on the moments we’ve worked hard for. When we take the time to truly revel in our accomplishments, we allow those successes to fuel us—not with pressure to do more, but with pride, confidence, and joy.
As we transition from Thanksgiving into the holiday season, let’s carry this spirit forward:
✨ Be thankful for the work that brought you here.
✨ Savor the wins—big and small.
✨ Trust that taking the time to celebrate will naturally prepare you for what’s next.
To the brilliant inventor of that battery-powered screwdriver: your story is an incredible reminder that success is worth pausing to appreciate. Thank you for sharing it with us. 🙌
What’s a success you’re especially grateful for this year? Let’s celebrate it together in the comments! 💬

On Nov 15, 2017 - my life changed.
After 4 incredible years working at 360i (my dream ad agency) and on accounts like Universal Pictures, USA Networks & Pernod Ricard (my dream clients), I was ready to hang up my Don Draper jersey, retire from the advertising world, and find a new challenge.
To me, that was going to be big tech: Google, Facebook, or Amazon - original, right?
After final-round interviews and an offer in hand, I was ready to accept when I received a Tinder-like email from AngelList:
“You matched with Todd Saunders from AdHawk because you both indicated interest in each other.”
😉
We connected, corresponded (including me calling him “Tood” in our second email exchange…actually), and clicked.
Todd pitched me on a fake role, “Franchise & Co-Op Marketing Lead,” to lead and develop the relationship with one of AdHawk’s larger customers: FloorForce.
In fact, John VC Weller somehow made his way into my first interview.
But sometimes life is weird, and you go down paths you’d never expect. I went from working on movies and booze to flooring.
After 7 years, 6 acquisitions, and 4 FloorCons, I’m excited to share that Broadlume has been acquired by Cyncly - a global leader in end-to-end software for all home services industries.
Here’s to 10 years of Broadlume and the future with Cyncly.

It’s been an incredible ride and I’m excited for the next chapter.
Todd & Dan - Thank you for trusting me and going along with my crazy ideas. My life is exponentially better because the two of you are in it. Jenna - My 360i “phellow” risk-taker. Thank you coming with me and trusting my hunch. Neil - my FloorCon compadre. We dreamt up the best flooring conference from nothing and crushed it - 3x. We made real magic happen. Ed - From the sweatbox, fried pickles, and late-night Slacks, there are few I'd rather have in my corner than you. You're one of the hardest-working and most passionate people I've worked with. Sean - I'm keeping this short and sweet because I know how much you love me calling you out, but you deserve it. Thank you. Catherine - thank you for joining our crazy flooring ride and righting our ship. Courtney - we've been through a lot to get here, and it was worth every minute. Weller - Without you, this doesn't happen. No one challenged me more in all things marketing - I've loved every battle, and the work always benefited/improved. Marketing Squad (Marie, Alexandra, Heather & David) - I couldn't ask for a better, more talented, and harder-working team. Thank you for pushing me to be better every day. We pulled off miracles more than once, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
And most importantly, Jennifer Bieber - thank you for being my rock. Putting up with my crazy show season schedule, 2-month pre-FloorCon hibernation, and all the craziness along the way. Without you, I don’t make it. I love you.
