When Rose was starting American Woman Flowers, we spent hours trying to get ads right for her on FB and Google. Learning the interface, figuring out how to target the ads appropriately and measure took a bunch of time. This is in the back of my head as I look at the new version of Lazaza we released yesterday. 👨🏼🎨 Rather than the "The Art of War"... how about the "The Art of Making Research-Based Advertising" Creating ads doesn't have to be a guessing game. Why spend your own money, when most likely some other multi-billion dollar organization has already done it for you (at scale)! 👀🏡 Nowadays, every platform has their own Ad gallery or Transparency platform that gives you the chance to look over the fence and get insights on your neighbors yard. ✨"Ooo they installed bricks", "check out Robert's new firepit", or "WOW, would of never thought of putting turf over there by the pool!!" (just recently experienced that last one, great touch!) With advertising, we are all given the same canvas but why over and over are some company's making BEAUTIFUL and CONVERSION-OPTIMIZED ads while others look like they just don't even know if they have anyone qualified running their platform. Things to be evaluating: ✅ Size of the Ads (Same ads but 20+ different sizes for Google) ✅ Still-Images vs Motion Ads vs Text Ads vs Video Ads (You need them all!) ✅ What platform = What Audience = What Persona lives there ✅ What are you testing? Headlines? Images? Positioning. If you don't know, you're just guessing! ✅ What's the goal? CTA and where you send them is critical. If you get a lot of clicks but not a lot of conversions. You don't have an ads problem, you have a Landing page problem! ✅ How bold are you being? Safe isn't going to get you there. Think about your favorite ads... they weren't boring! Be creative. Scaling ads isn’t just about increasing budget. A lot of times. You increase budget… costs go up. If the ad copy & creative you’re using speaks to only 7% of your market… When the platform caps that audience out. It will have to spend more to find people in your target market. Causing costs to go up. How do you scale without that happening then? Find new desires and angles in your market. You might find a new use case for your product or service you didn’t know existed. Or a problem dream clients are thinking. But you’re not saying. This can open up (for example) 17% of your market. Giving you the ability to scale within your target CPA. #marketing #advertising #clientacquisition
