I want to share a Maya tool that I use everyday almost 10 years.

In today's Maya modeling session, I assigned a task where I asked students to verbally explain what Maya offers—its features, tools, and menus—without opening the software. The idea behind this is to help them remember every tool and menu in detail. This kind of practice is essential because it pushes students to really internalize the interface, which will speed up their workflow and make them more efficient. By committing these elements to memory, they’ll be able to navigate Maya more confidently and quickly, leading to faster problem-solving and more fluid creativity in their learning journey. #3dmayatraining #mayalog #trainingjourney #vivekdubey

Talking about the amazing delta mush deformer in Maya in this video :)
Have you checked out Think Tank Quicks yet 🤖? In the fourth and final part of the Autodesk Maya Quick Rig Tutorial, Raffael Frank explains the basics about the Delta Mush Deformer, and restoring broken volumes in a mesh after you've posed your character. Just used Maya for the first time after 2 years of using Blender… I can’t believe how different the two are when it comes to keybinds and what not. I thought the transition was going to be relatively smooth, but every time I press R to rotate, my objects get bigger??? Im determined to learn this software so I’m going to start by learning modeling basics and how to unwrap UVs, then learn how to texture them with substance painter.

Autodeks Maya Tool: During my rigging studies, one of the most challenging mechanisms I encountered was rigging the lips of the mouth. Combining multiple systems into one and ensuring that they all worked together was my goal with this system. I used various resources that solved these mechanisms using different foundations, such as blend shape-based systems, ribbons, and the one I used in this case: constraint relationships. The foundation I used for my system was inspired by Arturo Coso's course at The Gnomon Workshop. The constraint relationship system allowed me to combine all the independent systems I had designed. This tool is still under development and will be ready soon. - Multiple rig generations with versioning system, without affecting the namespaces of each one - Several levels of control - Zipper Lips system - Curved movement of the corners of the mouth with curvature control - Pinning of the mouth corners - Controlled and manageable curves of intermediate controls - Lip collision system with collision control and collision range - Creation of selection sets for deformation bones

A laptop modelled and rendered inside Blender 4.0 using a tutorial from all round epic guy, Derek Elliott. The tutorial covered a lot of really useful modelling techniques and really exemplifies the work smarter not harder approach. Not ashamed to say I wish the lighting was better, i spent 2-3 hours alone turning lamps on and off trying to figure out the scene but settled on this as I have other projects I would like to try. Big shout out to Derek Elliott to for all of his detailed and easy to follow tutorials, and of course the laughs you get along the way. Blueprints that’s Unreal Engine Blueprints Is awesome as hell but takes a toll on your brain to think logically of all the steps to make one and to remember why you have to make it that way. It’s brain 🧠 Twister on things like Blueprint-class actor, Structures and data tables. Visualize and trace the flow in your mind will tax your focus skills Last night I made Rupee Zelda money name, value, and class (money). Now, when I drop into the world a rupee, the blueprint will allow me to choose either green, blue, gold, silver, or red. It reminds me of Excel and Acess and a little bit like InDesign book file.
