It looks like i've f*cked up the messaging for TubeFest This week I was told that some people thought that TubeFest was not for them. "I'm an entrepreneur Matt, I'm not creating much content yet, i'd like to but this conference is for creators right?" No, that's not true, the conference is split into 2 tracks. The idea is to bring creators and business owners together to learn from each other, in my experience creators often don't think like business owners and business owners are often not creators or don't think like them. So the two tracks below, accomodate for this. 1. Creator Track The creator track is for existing creators or new creators who need some inspiration on how to become a successful, full time creator. You want to learn what is working and what isnt. 2. Business Track You are a Creator or business owner who wants to learn how to make money as a creator who how to increase your revenue as a business owner. I hope that makes sense and if you're a business owner thinking this video marketing event is not for you, reconsider as it absolutely is, of the 150+ people attending, half of them are creators and half are business owners, so you'll be in good company.

Choosing between being creative or making money? Guess what? Whoever told you to do that was dumb. Because being creative IS good for business. → Really good for business. And being business savvy IS good for creativity. → Really good for creativity. What gets lost in the creative world is that evaluating ROI should be in every video you make and every piece of content you deliver. Focusing on the business side of your content actually fuels MORE creativity, not less. Case in point, let’s talk about Mr. Beast. He pours MILLIONS into one video. Which means he has to immediately think about the ROI. → How many sponsors he needs. → How many views does he need? To ultimately MAKE A PROFIT. It’s ALL business. But here’s the kicker: He has a team focused on making sure all his creativity doesn’t go to waste. And everything is tied back to a business decision. What he spends and what he earns is in the proper balance. When evaluating your campaigns, do you have someone getting up in your business to make sure your creativity is FUELING your business? Do you have someone providing this data in live time, which can help inform creative decisions? It doesn’t have to be either/or, Creative friends. The best kind of business is one where you have creative liberty because you have financial freedom. AND it’s when you have a business partner making sure all your investing and creativity ultimately lead you to create more content and make MORE money.
