What if...I don't get it right? As a child... I used to be shy and sometimes. Scared of public speaking. The reason being that: I fear being judged. You know, that feeling of not doing it right. This was the case for a while. But something changed recently. Now before reading on, understand that: I'm the last person to take public speaking advice from. In fact, I still shy away from a lot of internet marketing shenanigans because of my introverted nature. Anyway, a while back... I had a job as an assistant lecturer. To which I was required to lecture 400+ students weekly. At first, it was hard getting out of my shell. There was a lot of "ums" and "ahs" in class. And you know what? I couldn't help but keep at it. Since this is a requirement for my service year. But over time... My confidence improved. The "ums" and "ahs" slowly faded away. And this brings me to point I'm trying to make: You see... I understand that: It's tough being an introvert. Especially if you're required to leave your comfort zone. However, if you're going to get it RIGHT. You need to practice, and practice and practice. In this case... Start talking to a tiny pocket of people. And over time... You expand from there. This has been my case. And it can do the same for you too. Samson Damilare
It's me. I am super shy as well😅. But it surely takes some pain to get out of the bubble and after sometime we get used to it. Amazing share Samson😊👏
Samson, I'm with you. The fear of judgment is real, especially for us introverts. But your story proves that practicing and facing those fears can lead to growth. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Scaling early-stage eComm brands with email marketing. I restructured my clients' email funnel and doubled AOV & LTV. Subscribers saw, read these emails, and clicked the "BUY" button.
6moThis is relatable. Overcoming the fear of public speaking is tough, especially for introverts like us. But practice really does make a difference. Thanks for sharing your experience and encouraging others to step out of their comfort zones.
