ECHO CHAMBER... We love the sound of our own voice. We prefer hearing agreement to our opinions. We shun dissenting voices for fear of rejection. And it becomes a positive feedback loop in the echo chamber. We stop growing. If we actively seek out disagreeing voices, we expand our viewpoint and improve our argument. Yes we may be proven wrong, but that's better than being wrong forever. Stay humble. When I was younger, I experienced something really scary—a violent assault. At first, everything was confusing, and I didn't know how to talk about it. It felt like a big secret locked inside my heart. But over time, I learned how important it is to share our stories, especially once we've had a chance to understand and grow from them. When my mom became blind and disabled while I was just 12, life threw another challenge my way. I was a kid trying to figure out the world without many guideposts. But I knew deep down, even when things seem tough or confusing, we can still keep pushing through. Eventually, I found people who helped me and taught me how to believe in myself. My Big Takeaway: Use Momentum to Push You Forward. Life can feel like a big hill sometimes, but just like climbing a hill, all it takes is a push to get going. Even small steps can build into a powerful momentum to help us rise above our challenges. With each step you take, you become stronger, and you can too.
