Return On Investment When we advertise or spend money, we as business professionals have to look at Return on Investment or ROI. What many people want you to believe is a return of $10,000 in sales on an investment of $1000 in costs, is a 10X or 1000% return. WRONG!! ROI is not a function of sales but a function of profit on those sales. You only have Profit to pay for your investment, not Sales. If your profit on $10000 in sales is $1000, then you have paid for your investment of $1000. Your ROI would be 100%. The correct formula to use is ROI=Profit/Cost, not Sales/Cost Don't be fooled!!
