When you think of people who have inspired you to grow and think differently, who do you think of? For me, it's Adam Grant. I first heard Adam Grant on the Armchair Expert podcast during the height of Covid. Picture me, finishing a grueling day of homeschooling my elementary school children, waiting for the clock to tick 4:00, and then rushing out the door to get a break for goodness sake, even if the break meant I would be taking hour long walks through a snowy and cold winter (probably spring, but same thing) in Minnesota. That's where I first learned about organizational psychologist, Adam Grant. Flash forward to a couple weeks ago at Amazon Unboxed where he, Dax and Monica were the guest speakers. My excitement was unmatched as I angled to the front row where I could feel like I was in conversation with my Covid pod. He didn't disappoint. Dax and Monica were good too. ;-) If you haven't listened to Adam, or read his many NY Times bestsellers, I highly encourage it. He's the king of the growth mindset, he works hard to normalize humility and vulnerability in leadership and has introduced the idea of building a "challenge network" for yourself- which essentially means finding people that will not just support you, but help you grow by pointing out blind spots and giving advice for the future, not feedback on the past. Give him a listen, follow, or order a book. I promise you won't be disappointed. And let me know what you think, below! Happy Halloween pals! #thinkagain #adamgrant #armcherries #amazonunboxed #challengenetwork #humility #leadership #growthmindset
