Question for all the founders in my network: What tools are you using for your customer waitlists? 💡 I've seen everything from simple one page websites to more developed integrated engagement/management platforms. Keen to know what people think is good! #founders #vc #startup
So, from what I've seen messing around with YC startups, waitlist stuff is pretty interesting. Most of the time, a basic Airtable or Tally form does the job. But for those big-name launches? Some startups are drowning in sign-ups, like thousands a day. That's where the fancy waitlist tools come in handy - keeping users hooked with sneak peeks and feedback loops. Shoutouts to: Waitlistr, LaunchList, and GetWaitlist. Funny thing is, even some of the hottest YC startups stick to pretty simple setups. There are some cool VIP and paid waitlist solutions out there, but it's not like everyone needs them. 🚦
We did a typeform for our wantlist Tokens of Appreciation . Why would there be more needed🤔. Looking forward to hear what others say. https://toap.gg/wantlist/
Have used kickofflabs.com before with a lot of success and it has a low technical/financial bar for something quite useful. That said, currently building our own for the launch.
We used Mixo.io for a simple landing page and DOI. SpareSpace.io
We use our own lightweight solution that requires just one click from the user, so we can place it everywhere and remove frustrating form experience from the customer
The source code of https://tim.blog/2014/07/21/harrys-prelaunchr-email/ is what I use myself- and share with the founders in my cohorts
We used https://getwaitlist.com/ Our experience was really good, esp on the product user experience & intuitive integration. The CS support is awesome for us too, usually there's a human response (probably the founder herself at that time?) in less than 2 hours.
Justo got me thinking about it. We're doing a simple credibility-focused landing page. But now I'm wondering whether we can implement it directly in-chat. Meaning that as users do requests to the AI, they also have the probability to join the waitlist. I was going to implement feedback collection and subscription automation in-chat. So a waitlist might make sense. Looking forward to reading other comments!
