I look forward to facilitating this esteemed panel at tomorrow's 2024 Annual Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) Conference. RIAA's membership represents ~75% managed funds in Australia, with over 500 members representing US$29Tn in assets under management across Australia and New Zealand. This panel illuminates a particularly fraught area of transition plan credibility, one which corporates and investors alike are still developing their approach on. The regulatory eye is already on investors who advertise a 'stewardship' approach to their investee companies, and this will intensify as climate disclosures come into play, followed by end-to-end transition plan disclosure guidance. For a robust discussion on all-things-offsets, I'm joined by experts Megan Evans, Senior Lecturer at UNSW Business School, Duncan Paterson, Director of Investor Practice at Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC), and John Connor, CEO at Carbon Market Institute (CMI). Join us at Breakout Room 1 tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1.15pm - full conference program available here: https://lnkd.in/gusQM_Fe
