♻ Very interesting the 2024 edition of the 'Innovation Forum 4 Plastics' held in Brussels on April 19. An event organized by EuRIC - The European Recycling Industries on behalf of the CIMPA project, with the support of the European Research Executive Agency (REA) and as a side event of the World Circular Economy Forum WCEF. There different innovative solutions from EU-funded projects to reduce #plasticwaste and boost plastic #recycling and #circularity were presented. 🌍 70 participants attended this event organized by DG RTD of the European Commission and European Research Executive Agency (REA), which aimed to enable the co-creation of a mapping of R&I needs, gaps and priorities in the #plastics sector, which could feed into the programming of the #HorizonEurope 26-27 Work Programme and beyond. The event presented the Circular Plastics Cluster, a coalition of 7 EU-funded projects, and highlighted the results of the associated projects CIMPA, CIRCULAR FoodPack, SOL-REC2 and Merlin, focused on multilayer plastics recycling. In addition, the recently funded STOPP PROJECT, Magno EU Project, ViSS project and REBIOLUTION_project gave presentations on #sustainable plastic food packaging.
