We’ve been at the forefront of innovation in driving safety and efficiency, and our commitment continues with the development of the Electro-Mechanical Brake (EMB) system. This next-generation braking solution is set to redefine safety and performance in electric vehicles and autonomous driving. #Newsletter #August_Edition The EMB system is a cutting-edge integration that replaces traditional mechanical linkages with a by-wire connection, enabling immediate braking response and precise control through electronic signals. With mass production planned for 2027, the EMB is designed to enhance both safety and environmental sustainability. One of the standout features of the EMB is its Stable Fail-Operational Control, which intelligently redistributes braking power in the event of a failure, ensuring maximum safety and control. Additionally, the system eliminates the need for brake fluid and hydraulics, making it an eco-friendly choice for the future. The EMB system not only enhances driver safety but also contributes to a greener planet. With a direct impact on performance, safety and in-cabin comfort, #RideDynamics systems – such as suspension systems, shock absorbers, etc. – work “behind the scenes” to ensure an ideal onboard experience for the driver and passengers, regardless of the type of propulsion, be it traditional or electric. These systems, depending on the technological level of the product, can either minimize or neutralize inertial forces (lateral-bends and longitudinal-acceleration/braking) exchanged between the tyres and the ground to always keep the vehicle steadily on the road, ensuring drivability in every condition and avoiding passengers from feeling the unpleasant effects of road roughness. Ride Dynamics technologies are certainly a crucial element for both the driving experience and the future of mobility. The evolution of Ride Dynamics is heading towards the integration of electronic hardware and software to enhance driving control and passengers' comfort, enabling conditions for the development of autonomous driving. #Marelli #RideDynamicsSolutions

📣Excited to hear from our 🚗Automotive safety experts Bernhard Kaiser and Andreas Lauringer, CEO of Kontrol, at #GSVF 2024 on Sept 26 in Graz! The talk will outline a workflow toward #safety demonstration of #autonomous vehicles, ranging from safety analysis and real-world scenario acquisition to creating digital models replicating real-world conditions to perform regulatory compliance and safety testing of the AD stack in a digital testbed. A highlight of the approach is the automated generation of pass/fail evaluators from formalized traffic legislation rules and hazard definitions. The collaborative demonstration by #Ansys and #Kontrol is an important step toward virtual validation and homologation of new functions in future #SDV.
