As a writer, your unique style is what sets you apart and makes your work stand out. It’s the essence of your voice that readers recognize and connect with. To develop your own style, start by embracing your personality. Don’t try to mimic someone else; let your voice shine through. Whether you're humorous, reflective, or straightforward, your personality should be felt in every word you write. Consistency plays a huge role in creating a recognizable style. While it’s important to experiment and grow, keeping certain elements consistent in your writing, whether it's your tone, sentence structure, or the themes you explore helps readers become familiar with your voice. Focusing on topics that resonate with you and aligning your writing with your values will make your style feel authentic. Experimenting with different techniques can also help shape your voice, but always stay true to yourself. Whether it’s a specific way you phrase things or a unique metaphor, find signature elements that readers will come to associate with you. Over time, this will make your writing instantly recognizable and help you build a lasting connection with your audience. I hope this helps. One of the best ways to write better overnight if you’re having troubles is to use less adjectives (or none at all). ‘Super descriptive’ adjectives don’t help the flow of the conversation. They kill it. Use zero jargon and say what you want to say, with as little words as possible, and you’ll notice how much smoother your writing style gets. “At the end of the day all we’ll ever be is a writer.” Whether it’s for legacy, to communicate, reflect on personal ideas, or express yourself—writing connects your story to the heart of who you’re speaking to—adjectives disconnect it. #marketing #remarkablecontent #writingtips #eventprofs #concerts #musicfestival

All writers need empathy. Often I am asked how to better write copy that really reaches people. Some think if they write from their experiences and assumptions, it will always resonate. Not so. You need empathy to reach your customers, to help build trust, and present a solution to their problems. Ask questions. Listen. Who is your audience? Learn about their experiences and struggles. Use the words and phrases your audience uses and incorporate it into your writing. By listening to them and using their words in your copy, your audience can see themselves in your writing. You make their story real. And this, helps build trust. Without trust, your words are simply words.
