It doesn't need to be said anymore that GenAI is an emerging field in the tech world, and many companies are exploring how it can enhance their business goals. 📈 However, implementing a GenAI solution involves challenges such as estimating costs and deciding whether to deploy it on-premises or in the cloud. 🤔 To address this, Principled Technologies conducted a cost-benefit analysis comparing 2 on-premises Dell Technologies offerings with the solutions of 2 major public cloud players. During their research they compared the approximate 3-year cost of running and deploying a GenAI model and the results are mindblowing 🤯 Key findings: 💲 The competitive cloud solutions cost up to 3.81x as much as the subscription-based Dell APEX pay-per-use solution. 💲 Compared to the traditional Dell on-premises solution, the public cloud solutions would cost up to 2.88 times as much.
