As a Public Sector BDR I spent hours trawling through public sector internal communications, strategy documents, guidance and regulation, and reports, using Control F and copying and pasting all my relevant info. The new document feature from Stotles has dragged this process into the 21st century. Are you closing emails but leaving the door wide open? I'm working through modules in Matthew Volkwyn's Copy Base Camp. One of the exercises is to analyse email closes, specifically the transition and close (call to action). It's been quite eye-opening to see how many emails have a link to click, as a CTA but all they give their readers is a "click the link". No instructions on what will happen when they take action. No real benefits of taking the action. No urgency of why doing it now is a good idea. The thing is... We all need a reason to do things, whether cleaning our teeth so they don't fall out or parting with our cash to improve our lives. So, if you want to make more sales, making it crystal clear why and how your readers can buy could make all the difference.

It takes around 200 cold DMs on LinkedIn to land a high-ticket client. So technically, it takes 2000 DMs to land 10 clients. And make $20k-$30k, depending on your offer. It’s good until you can: - stay completely sane. - maintain your authority. - live the life you want. But, what if you can make this and more by just sharing stories and connecting them to your offer? Say, it’s going to take you 5-6 hours/week, and you’ll make $20k-$30k monthly. Make it happen. And if you aren't sure how to carve your story, my email list is for you. The link is in the comments. P.S. How many clients have you got by sharing your story?

From a Buyer's Perspective, breaking an email thread can be pretty rough... One thing that can really disrupt communication between buyers and vendors is when someone starts a new email thread instead of replying to the original one. It might seem small, but it can cause big headaches. Here’s why: 1. Continuity is Key 🧵 When everything stays in the same thread, keeping track of the conversation, referencing past details, and ensuring no context is lost is easier. Starting a new thread means I have to go back, search for earlier emails, and piece everything together—wasting valuable time. 2. It Keeps Things Organized 🗂️ I often have multiple projects and vendors to manage at once. If the communication is fragmented across several email threads, it’s easy for important details to get overlooked. Keeping everything in one thread helps maintain clarity and prevents miscommunication. 3. Respect Buyer Preferences 🙌 If a buyer asks to keep communication in the original thread, it’s for a reason. It shows respect for the buyer’s time and process when you follow through. This small detail can go a long way in building a smoother working relationship. Do any buyers out there feel the same way? Let me know in the comments if this resonates with you! #BuyersPerspective #CPG #SalesTips #VendorRelationships #EffortToEquity

Struggling with getting next steps with an opportunity? Stop adding to your buyer's plate. Here’s what adding to their plate looks like: "It's been a bit since we last connected. Can we find time to discuss what's changed on your end?" This request puts all the effort on the buyer. They’d need to find time to update you on things they already know *just in case* you can help them. Email deleted. Here’s what removing things from their plate looks like: "It's been a bit since we last connected. If you are anything like similar companies, you are likely working through [priority 1, 2, 3]. I've attached a hypothesis of how we could help in those areas - if I'm not completely off base, could we find some time to discuss in more depth?" This request shows your willingness to make their job easier. You'll stand out even if your hypothesis isn’t completely accurate. Many people treat their inbox as a “to-do” list. When a seller adds to that list, it’s the easiest email to ignore. Turn your outreach into a “look what I did for you - imagine how much more I could help with your input,” and you’ll see higher buyer engagement.

Why so serious?… Never start your email with: "Hope this email finds you well” Such emails never found anyone well. 3 ideas for a better cold email opener: • Yurii - your CEO <name> mentioned on a pod that pipeline optimization... • Matt - in your <name of the report> I noticed that in Q3 the goal is… • Artur - despite 293k visits in September, Woodpecker had only… +80% of cold emails get ghosted because of a poor email preview. Don't waste email's most important piece of real estate - the 1st line. Get straight to the point = build trust = start more conversations = win more Why be generic when you can stand out? PS. Want to write cold emails that actually book meetings in 2024? I'll be starting a Cold Email Cohort soon. If you want to join it - DM me "COLD".
