Rota management works until they don’t work. The nature of shift work makes rota management a challenge. Last-minute staff shortages or crossed communication wires could mean residents are short of staff who can look after them. Other times, a sudden change in resident needs and circumstances can require adjustments to the rota. Safe to say rota management is unpredictable. We exist to fill in any shift gaps that appear in rota management, whether through: - Providing short-term and last-minute cover - Long-term and recurring shift work - Same-day shift cover - Mid-shift cover ➡️ https://rytebridge.com/

How come no one ever talks about how tough it can be to manage temporary workers on here? I know on LinkedIn we all give 110%, would work for free etc but in the last week I've spoken with more than a couple Op Managers & Founders worried about peak this year; Some horror stories for new staff include; Physically hiding in the warehouse rather than working. Nicking stuff. Cherry picking jobs - stats are good though because hey, look how many i picked. "Fake" clock in & Clock and outs. "extended" toilet breaks - 40 minutes plus. For small to medium sized businesses, it can feel very personal and very painful. It is tough out there and scaling a business past those initial hires of people you know and trust is hard work. A lot of the manual businesses I speak to monitor very little individual stats; Who's making mistakes and why? (can we help?) Whose quick at picking and why? (cherry pick or just more efficient?) Overall shift performance. Without data you only have a feeling that something is not quite right. anyway, its Friday my friends. Have a good weekend.

HR TERMS - LETTER C (Career Progression, Compressed workweek, Constructive discharge, Corporate Value Statement)... 1. Career Progression: This is a key component of employee satisfaction. It increases job satisfaction rates and creates new opportunities for employees. Individuals can set career goals by assessing their current skills, interests, and aspirations, and setting SMART goals and long-term career vision. Employer of Labor also has a crucial role to play in providing career development opportunities, training courses, and a supportive environment that encourages employee growth. 2. Compressed Workweek: More workplaces prioritize employee flexibility to attract and retain talent, compressed workweek or schedules are still hot topics. When planned and executed correctly, a compressed workweek can greatly benefit team productivity and morale. Determining whether it can work for you hings on your job roles. 3. Constructive Discharge: Some factors that can lead to constructive discharge or constructive termination include but are not limited to; - 🔚 Unsafe Conditions: Forcing an employee to work in conditions that jeopardize their health and safety goes against the laws set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health 🔚 Employee Discrimination: The law prohibits discrimination by employers against employees based on age, race, gender, sex, religion, national origin, and physical or mental disability. 🔚 Benefits Reduction: taking away some existing benefits like health, commuting benefits could cause hardship for employees. This can cause employees to look for employment elsewhere. 🔚 Withholding Pay: Under paying an employee or withholding timely pay can force employees to quit. 4. Corporate Value Statement: Value statements are quite separate from Vision or Mission Statement. Value statements are guiding principles that an organisation uses to govern its actions and decisions while the VISION statement describes the organisations desired future state. It is what the organisations executives envision the future of the organisation to be at some pre-defined point in the future. A mission statement defines how organizations intend to reach these goals. #HRTERMS #AtoZofHR #humanresources

We often talk about hiring problems here, but we never talk about the problem of staff turnover, This usually happens due to the "after-sales" service. The person cannot adapt and leaves, and the company is again looking for a new employee. The whole problem is in the banal adaptation of personnel, or rather in its complete absence: - an employee came to the company and does not know where his workplace is, or it is not ready yet, and he simply has nowhere to sit; - the employee does not know the internal regulations, and there is no one to tell him about it; - the employee does not know what tasks he will have to solve throughout the work week, and there is no one to tell about it; - there is someone to tell, but this person is always busy. Are you monitoring the fate of the hired person in a new work environment, or are you leaving him and moving on to another task? #staffturnover #employeeadaptation #onboardingchallenges #newhireorientation #workplaceintegration #adaptationfailures #HRmanagement #employeeonboarding #retentionstrategies #workenvironmentwatch
