"Why do you do what you do?"
That's the question I was asked at the Internet 2.0 Conference in March. It's simple, really.
❓WHY
My family has a rich history of entrepreneurial failure.
It's a problem that has followed us around. With [F-ING], Suresh Kothari and I want to follow it back to move the needle on startup success rates.
❓ WHAT
We want to build startup support systems to assist #founders across the different phases of their journey so they don't face what we did: wrong problems, wrong teams, wrong timings, wrong business models...
❓HOW
By helping founders leverage social capital (networks and interpersonal relations) and arm them with the right tools for thought and entrepreneurial action.
That means
✅ more guided touchpoints with other founders, ex-founders, VCs, and researchers,
✅ better experimentation through sandboxes (e.g., deep access to those critically important first 10, 100, and 1000 customers), and,
✅ a penchant for frugality so that customers (and not investors) set the agenda.
❓WHERE
Online. Offline. Everywhere but need-based.
❓WHEN
Yesterday

It's a large scope, and we want to start small. We want to start where it all begins, with FINDING:
helping founders find and choose problems and opportunities that matter to them (and the world).
This brings us to:
❓️WHO
First time founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and seasoned operators looking to pivot or apply a different lens to existing proposition.
And of course seasoned operators, ex-founders, vcs, angels, and other stakeholders (it's a two-sided proposition).
