That is to me the most important starting point for any business and ultimately more than enough to make up for thinner gross margins. Apparently his business boomed after this. Goals require both discipline/commitment as well as consistency. How? How can we do that? 1. Start of by writing down your S.M.A.R.T. goals for yourself; whether personal or professional. (SMART - Specific, Measurable, Attainable/Achievable, Relevant/Realistic, Timely) 2. For every goal, write down every action step or task that you need to do to achieve this goal. 3. Assign the people responsible to help you achieve this goal. 4. Monitor your progress once your Action Plan is completed. I would say aim for 3-month goals to begin with to test your ability to be disciplined and consistent.
