𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 / 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 - What exactly is critical thinking? It is not a super hard brain skill to master. Critical thinking simply means that you look at things from different angles and different perspectives so that you know the pros, opportunities as well as limitations which others may not see. Let's take an example. Let us say that in your company, there is a product which is not selling. The marketing team has done research and found that there are equally good competitor products selling at lower prices. Therefore, the marketing team is asking for a price cut to be competitive. It is a very reasonable request. If you are a management trainee, what would you recommend? Now, I am not going to say what you should recommend as that would depend on so many factors. What I am going to explain to you is the FACTORS to consider and the PROCESS of critical thinking you must apply in situations like this. What is the core issue here? The issue is not that our product is bad, or the brand is stained or a bad marketing decision was made. It is an issue where there are equally good competitor products that are selling cheaper. In this context, how can our product compete? 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘀: Cutting prices is not advisable in most cases as that would create a lot of knock-on effects, very unpopular with the finance guys AND could also force competitors to cut prices and create a price-war 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀: So the only way out of a sticky situation like this is to find a way to make the customers believe that your product offers something more and justifies the price. 𝗗𝗼 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲: You will have to do a deep dive here into the actual product, its design, its features, the production process, how it is marketed in other countries (if it is imported) etc etc 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘𝗗 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 - https://lnkd.in/g-5V_ySj

In a recent survey, the Graduate Management Admission Council reported that although MBAs were strong in analytical aptitude, quantitative expertise, and information-gathering ability, they were sorely lacking in other critical areas that employers find equally attractive: 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒄 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚. Are these mutually exclusive? Must we trade one for the other? The 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 is this one: the confidence and permission to talk to one another. Not to manage, belittle, intimidate, or control. Simply to seek to be understood and to do the work to understand. Real skills can't replace vocational skills, of course. What they can do is 𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒚 the things you've already been measuring. #RealSkills #Leadership| #Management #InterpersonalSkills
Let's stop calling them "soft skills" — and call them "real skills" instead

Relevant. There is nothing “soft” with respect to the skills needed to be a quality leader, mentor, facilitator, educator, and change advocator. People management is hard. But “management” is only a small percentage of the requirement to be an effective leader. Leadership is a difficult skill to acquire, and often not taught. We need more leaders to share their leadership knowledge journeys to foster the next generation of leaders. Thanks for sharing Patrick Ho.

Here’s a thought: A degree is just the beginning—it’s real-world experience that sets you apart. 📚✨ If you're only looking at someone's diploma to gauge their potential, you might miss out on the person who's already turning ideas into impact. I've learned that it’s not just about what you studied; it’s about how you bring that knowledge to life in dynamic, practical ways. From strategy to execution, the difference maker is the ability to roll up your sleeves and deliver results. Ready to make an impact where it counts! 💼🔥 #ExperienceMatters #DegreeAndBeyond #HireForResults
