Had an insightful mentorship session today at Alliance University with "Siddique Mohammed Sir". He shared valuable lessons on networking and self-branding, emphasizing the importance of building genuine connections and presenting ourself effectively. We practiced self-introductions, and in one-on-one sessions, he guided us on aligning our goals with actionable strategies. The key takeaway for me: Networking isn’t just about who you know, but how you create value through those connections. What’s your approach to networking and self-branding?

My opinion about DevCon? If you're a beginner, you can learn what they cover in their conferences and events on YouTube, so there’s no need to travel all the way here. If you're looking to expand your network, don’t focus too much on the official conferences and events; instead, connect with people who are hanging out in cafes. Overall, the main DevCon isn’t particularly effective for networking or learning, but on the other hand, the side events are excellent for building connections.

EVENT TIP 101 In the event rush, completing personal details may seem routine, yet it's key to unlocking future opportunities and enriching experiences. Your details facilitate networking beyond the event, connecting you with peers, mentors and collaborators. Pay attention to those details, don't write things that no one can read or see.

I look forward to joining Marlow Professional Club networking event this morning. It is an early start, but it gives me energy for the rest of the day 🙂. For me the benefits of networking include: 🤝Growing your personal brand. 🤝Getting a chance to present yourself and fine-tune your elevator pitch. 🤝Improving your active listening stills. 🤝Becoming more flexible in your communication style by having conversations with people of different personalities and backgrounds. 🤝Getting inspired and motivated by others (their actions and style of communication). 🤝Increasing opportunities for collaborations. 🤝Improving your strategic thinking by learning about trends and solutions present in your industry. 🤝Having fun. If you are a member of the club and we haven't connected yet, today maybe our chance 🙌 🙂
