It's easy to teach English grammar and vocabulary, but what some teachers struggle to transfer to learners is discourse and coherence in speech. These skills are an integral part of produced language. Some English learners acquire these skills upon constant exposure to real-life use of Englsih. It's difficult to encapsulate a broad topic within a few sentences; however, this post is a starting point for discussion. I'd love to hear from fellow English teachers on this. Comment below any ideas. 😁

How do you pick a great online English teacher? Or rather, how do you pick the right teacher for you? There are so many good teachers out there (and some not so good ones), how do you know who is the right one for you? If you are wondering how to choose, Blue Noun have a new service matching students with their ideal teachers. You answer some questions about what you need and they recommend some of the best online English teachers (I'm happy to say I'm one!). Tomorrow at 1pm UK time (14.00 CET) I'm talking to Ruth Pringle (here on LinkedIn and on the Blue Noun Facebook page) about this and about why I might be the right teacher for you. If you have any tips for choosing a good teacher, add them in the comments. See you tomorrow! ------ I’m Sangeeta. I help busy people like you pass B2 First and C1 Advanced with confidence.
