We never think about the file/folder structure of a database we're developing. Why are we still obsessed about file/folder structure when writing code written in some 3GL? It doesn't make any sense. Why are we still using such incredibly primitive approach to software development?

Any modern API-based product out there provides code snippets for fast integration. We think there’s a missing snippet type: Prompt Specs. In EloquentOps MetaTools suite, you can grab, alongside the usual code snippets, a ready-to-use prompt to be pasted into LLM-based software development tools. I guess this is going to be pretty much the norm. Thus, in case I’m the first one, this is the evidence for posterity 😀 https://lnkd.in/eZ65zxQy

🚀 Streamline Your Code in .NET 8! 🚀 With the release of .NET 8, error handling has taken a giant leap forward. The new approaches not only simplify exception management but also enhance the robustness of your applications. Whether you’re building enterprise-level software or working on a small project, these new features will save you time and headaches. One of the most exciting aspects of .NET 8 is its ability to reduce boilerplate code, allowing developers to focus more on what truly matters. By leveraging extension methods and built-in features, you can write cleaner, more maintainable code with minimal effort. ✨ Example: Simplifying Global Exception Handling In .NET 8, you can easily manage global exceptions without writing repetitive code. In the coming months, one project I have is to develop an AI assistant for VS Code to help beginner programming students. I found interesting this post about Cursor, which is not just an extension, but a standalone application that acts as a full IDE. This allows them to have more control over the interface, thus achieving a better integration with AI. In fact, some of its functionalities are not available as plug-ins for environments like VS Code.
I wrote up a review of Cursor and how I use it for software development, which seems to be a hot (and mildly controversial) topic these days: https://lnkd.in/gF-Hm6bJ
