So, I have been reading and listening to some interesting news on Google's Notebook LM Podcast generator by fantastic people like Leon Furze or Miguel Ujeda Gálvez and here are my two cents. The way Notebook LM creates interactive podcasts is fantastic. It will create some really engaging 10-minute episodes on notes, documents and websites you "feed" it with and then offer you an engaging podcast episode to listen to. I hope it will still evolve and offer more options to choose from. At times it is still a bit glitchy, but the way the system already creates an interactive, informal and catchy conversation is mind-blowing. Why don't you try it and drop me some lines with your experience with it? 💡How did you use it? 💡 Could you think of creating some podcast episodes for CPD for instance and would that be helpful? 💡Could we use this in our school settings to help students with revisions or differentiation of content? 💡Will this be a good option for us teachers at all? 💡 Could this be an idea to, for instance, rethink assessment in schools and offer alternatives to assess student knowledge by letting them create automatic episodes based on their notes? Two great AI tools + Social Psychology content sources: Snipd and NotebookLM: Snipd - got even better with new features like auto snipping, which saves your favorite parts of episodes with AI-generated summaries and social media quotes. My favorite podcast on it is Curiosity Daily - the award-winning #1 podcast in science and technology (listen only to the old episodes with Ashley and Cody!). Each episode features social psychology nudges and effects alongside astronomy, physics, and other science topics. I listen mainly to the social psychology content and am even conducting a study based on a nudge I discovered only there. I literally don't know what I would do without this podcast. NotebookLM - recently generated an in-depth conversation about one of my favorite social psychology resources: the EAST document (Easy, Attractive, Social, Timely). Here's an easy science-based win from the episode: you can leverage social proof - our tendency to follow the crowd - by adding text like "many of our supporters choose to donate monthly" next to a donation button. I recommend listening to NotebookLM's episode while on the go, and if you find it insightful, check out the full document - it's more engaging than you might expect.
