𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧'𝐭 '𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞'? Being a Dutch property investor, it's impossible to visit all the property networking events in the UK that I would like to attend. Now what? Hmmm.... let me find something that can be attended at a distance. Online. Comfortably at home. I came across one in Wales that offered just that. I got a ticket for the South Wales Property Meet and joined via Zoom. After a brief introduction there was a quiz to test your property knowledge. This had to be a sobering experience for some of us 🙄. But it was fun none the less. Then came two speakers. Katie Hutt from Hecsagon Ltd elaborated on everything you should know about HMO's. Plenty of real live examples with pros and cons. She was also very open about costs and things that didn't go to plan. A lot of info to take in but really helpful. Next up was Adam Wale from Åben Interiors. A very practical presentation on interior design and home staging for HMO's and studios. It seems you don't have to be a fully qualified designer to upgrade your property. A few simple guidelines can do miracles. The host, Howard Bowes, is constantly sharing useful insights plus all sorts of tips and tricks. No fluff or sales pitch. 𝐒𝐨, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧? Sadly, nothing is perfect. Questions in the audience are sometimes hard to hear. And one cannot network with other visitors. But I guess I can't have it all behind my laptop far away in the Netherlands. 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝? Yes. Well, at least this one. For £9.75 (early bird discount, £15 otherwise if I remember correctly) you get two hours of very hands-on info.
