Ruckus Games’ Post

It's our first #indiegame #ScreenshotSaturday ! Hello!! 👋 We're Ruckus Games! We're a team of industry veterans hailing from studios such as Gearbox, Epic Games, Bethesda and more creating a rad co-operative multiplayer third person suburban invasion game combining RPG elements, crafting, town-building and a TON of stupid weapons. If you like keeping secrets and playing awesome games, come join us in playtesting here: https://bit.ly/3AwtDEF OR if you like keeping secrets and MAKING awesome the awesome games, well then, we might just have the job for you're looking for right here: https://lnkd.in/d9YZKnVN #gamedev #gamedevelopment #indiegames #indiedev #hiring #unreal #ruckusgames

  • Two lone hometown heroes stand in the center of their town, set ablaze. Off in the distance a round creepy ship commits grand theft auto.
  • a nostalgic arcade filled with neon lights and not a soul to be found, but it probably still smells like stale soda and butts
  • a cool rocker looking guy with friends, fire, and oh my GOD WHAT ARE THOSE ABOMINATIONS BEHIND THEM TURNAROUND YOU FOOLS
  • A mysterious gas station that probably doesn't clean its bathrooms very well

May I re-write this, so it does not sound as if you needed to prove you worthiness of making games at all: "It’s Screenshot Saturday, and we’re not here to bore you with résumés. You don’t care where we worked before (but if you must know: Gearbox, Epic, Bethesda, etc.—there, satisfied?). What matters is that we’re building something ridiculously fun right now: A co-op multiplayer game where you and your friends get to wreak havoc in a sleepy suburban town! Craft bizarre weapons, build (or rebuild?) your town, and uncover secrets about a certain very round alien ship causing all the chaos. Two heroes. A town on fire. And a ship stealing your ride. If you love secrets and great games, come playtest. If you love secrets and MAKING awesome games, come join our team. We’re Ruckus Games, and we’re not ‘veterans.’ We’re gamers making games we want to play. Stay tuned - we’re just getting started. #ScreenshotSaturday #IndieGames #RuckusGames"
