Global HR Leader| Founder@SutradHR | ICF Coach| Author| Independent Director| POSH Expert| Topmost HR Leaders awardee by World HRD Congress

A day surrounded by over 40 trailblazers—from the Vice President and Chief Justice of India to remarkable women achievers across politics, sports, defense, science, royalty, Bollywood, and even Yoga—was nothing short of inspiring. It was an honor to be invited to attend the SheShakti Conclave by CNN-News18 which brought together powerful voices with one clear message: when women enter spaces once deemed 'unachievable,' they blaze a trail for countless others. As Squadron Leader Shivangi Singh, India’s first woman Rafale pilot, rightly said, “Machines don’t differentiate the gender of their pilots.” Similarly, Padma Shri scientist Dr. Sanghmitra Bandyopadhyay emphasized that men and women equally excel in mathematics, but societal conditioning often steers women away from "difficult" careers. Breaking this mindset requires constant exposure to conversations and role models who challenge outdated norms. A recurring message from the speakers: if you have a voice, use it to uplift others. A single act—a book, a speech, a kind word—can change the course of someone's life. Abhinav Bindra’s biography, for instance, inspired Avni Lekhara to pursue shooting and compete in the Paralympics. None of the achievers waited for opportunities; they created their own. To get somewhere, you must start somewhere. Stories of Pabiben from rural Gujarat, who single-handedly understood the power of branding and built a business with a ₹50 lakh turnover, or MP Shambhavi Choudhary, who defied the assumption that women enter politics only on behalf of their fathers or husbands, saying, “I am here for myself,” or Usha Uthup’s journey from being known as the nightclub singer in a saree to receiving the Padma Bhushan show that self-belief can turn the unconventional into the extraordinary. As the immensely talented Maithili Thakur sang: “Main Shakti Hoon, Kar Sakti Hoon” a change has begun, and it’s unstoppable. #SheShakti2024 #News18 #BreakingBarriers #inspiringwomen #womenpower #mindsetshift #socialchange
