The #homogeneity of #CannabisSativa #flower" (Part 1)... ...a widely debated subject I followed throughout my professional career. 🧐 My first collaborative #academic publication was on this topic. 🗞️📚📈📉 https://lnkd.in/emtrT_5z Years later, still #hacking away at the #industry, a client emerged who was very #meticulous and precise in his #cultivation #methodologies. 🧐🌱🤓 In the quest to #validate his method, we conducted the following #investigation. ✍️🗂️🔍 We compared random #flower tops of clones in the same space from his production facility. 🥦 The samples were picked at the same #height and #light exposure from #different parts of the #cultivation space, to try to capture an average value that the flower represents. 💡📊 The sample #preparation procedure in this case was not to mill the whole inflorescence but rather to pick #random sites and #dislodge series of bracts together to form a multiple-site sampling, each within the 8 #randomly picked flowers as a unit of #chemical analysis. 📝📈📉🔬 When #medicinal #plant #cultivation for active pharmaceutical ingredients (#API) is in question, the top, middle, and bottom parts of the plant are considered joined units with #approximately the same #secondary metabolic content. 🥼💊💉 The samples of the randomly sampled bracts in 18 analyses came out with less than a 5% variance in the total count of terpenes and cannabinoids. 💐🌸💮🏵️🦂🥀 Meaning all results were within 20±1% total accounted cannabinoids and terpenes ranging within 1.8%±0.15%. 😳 Why I write this is to elucidate the fact that with correct measures and #cultivation #expertise, one can provide consistently homogenous flower products when selecting and grading their harvest very consistently. 👨🌾👌 Complying well within the #measure of #uncertainty set by the laboratory conducting the analysis. ⁉️✅ So, it can be done, and the product CAN BE stellar, worth every penny, and leaves the #consumer wanting more, and the medical patient knowing exactly what to expect with his dosages. 😷🤠🥳✅ You can provide batch-to-#batch #consistency.
