#1 & #4 are my favorite. - Obsessions will always beat a nice strategy. That's probably why investors care a lot about the team slide in a deck. - Sales truly solves everything, way more important than valuation numbers, it's all about growth.
“If you have an exit strategy, it’s not an obsession.” Awesome!
This kind of commitment is what separates the successful from the ones who fall off.
Love #2!. When you enjoy a party, you don't look for the door.
I would sort them with #5 and #12 higher up. We all have strengths and weaknesses. Work hard to expand the former one and reduce the later. Happy stateholders are more committed to the mission. Thanks for sharing
These rules are a great reminder of what really drives startup success, passion, focus, and relentless hustle.
Definitely hiring passionate people. Everything else is easier if passion is present.
Rule 3-6 for me! Passion, sales, strengths, and connections drive success.

4d“These are my favorites because they reflect the heart of being a founder. 1. Obsession > Strategy resonates deeply because passion is the fuel that drives everything forward, especially when the road gets tough. 2. Know Your Superpower is critical because focusing on what you excel at is how you create value and stand out in a competitive market. When you’re fully invested and leveraging your strengths, success becomes inevitable.”
