Last month, our Senior Executive (Architectural) Fadzli Jani and Associate Samantha Wong joined a group of fifty volunteers from the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) and EPIC Homes to build homes for two underprivileged Orang Asli families in Malaysia, Bukit Mancung, Selangor. RSP is proud to support EPIC Homes' noble cause every year, this year as a silver sponsor. "I took up the challenge to be part of the Floor Team, accompanied by 6 others including our Specialist. Even after 144 pieces of jig/circular-sawed floorboards, 1728 of hand-hammered nails and the unforgiving staircase (with railings) details to foyer, I still can't build a house because it can never be done without the other volunteers, Epichomes Master Builders, Specialists, Main Core Team, ECs, and the very own Orang Asli (Villagers)! Thank you for the most memorable and authentic experience. We wish the families well and may the newly built house be continuously full of love and happiness!" Shared Fadzli on his Instagram. EPIC Homes is a non-profit dedicated to serving the underprivileged Orang Asli population by building homes, which gives the people confidence, a sense of belonging and security. Working with EPIC Homes allows us to empower communities with our expertise to ensure that design meets the real needs of humanity. 📷: First group photo by SIA #rspdesign #rspdesigners #designmeetshumanity #EPICBuild
