https://lnkd.in/g3j32VC8 if you have so much green electricity plus a CO2 issue associated it makes more sense, and energy yield, to use it in one of our reactors to produce precursors to renewable fossils ( SAFs and other energy sources) , chemicals etc.oder? ps if you use non renewable electricity your co2 balace will sky rocket.

Interesting analysis on the real potential of green hydrogen projects. Countries with important capacity/potential for renewable power sources should chose wisely if and how much to invest in them while their risk profile remains fairly high.

Another good reason to invest in industrial photosynthesis: fatal electricity whose price can become negative. Electricity is about 80% of the apex in recycling CO2 into valuable chemicals via photosynthesis. When its price gets so low or even negative, the end products for the foods feeds fine chemical and even SAF markets become more than competitive, (note: they are already competitive at current electricity prices in Europe don t get me wrong) and this will help photosynthesis emerge as a new WW industrial cluster. So industrial photosynthesis equipment can also be viewed as a natural biological battery, in case you want to use the biomass for energy purposes only (burn it to recover the stored energy). The article describes the issue facing operators of renewable energy plants in europe, especially Germany and Spain. It's in French and polluted with ads, but the info is of interest. These operators ought to look at the solutions proposed by NeoCarbons and the like, offering industrial CO2 recycling equipment and natural valorisation options for renewable energy, whether in excess or not. https://lnkd.in/gT6W3enW

very good article in French summarising the key opportunities and challenges with hydrogen. thought it concentrates only the storage and usage as electricity and not exploring the usage the pure gas. ( like natural gas ) using H2 as gas is must as we get a much wider and more efficient utilisation. if you need a study for your industry contact Volta Swiss , we are happy to work on #greenfuture. #hydrogen #hydrogenstorage #safehydrogenstorage #greenenergy #sustainability #energytransition #industry #futureenergy https://lnkd.in/e-KUb8jz

European demand for #greenhydrogen is expected to be eight times lower than the objectives set by the European Union for 2030, underlines the CEA (The French Energies and Atomic Energy Commission). An observation highlighted by the CEO of TotalEnergies during the World Economic Forum at the end of April. Arcelor Mittal itself announced that it wanted to abandon green hydrogen in its European steelworks, despite the billions of euros in subsidies received for the transition. One of the issues is the business model, which is not yet set. The water sector can also produce green hydrogen. Do we have a better vision and prospective outlook?

Is synthetic natural gas (e-gas) made from green #hydrogen a cost-effective and efficient use of renewable electricity? The Hydrogen Science Coalition was the obvious place for Johanne Whitmore and I to publish our analysis of the TES methane project proposed for Quebec. Our evaluation of the energetics and cost of e methane under even very idealistic assumptions will give clarity to those who are trying to understand TES's motivations. Ask yourself: how could it ever be justified to turn $14-19/GJ electricity - pure exergy- into $40 to $90/ GJ heat?

Complexity of big coupled H2 & wind offshore projects
