We had a CPD session about the use of drones. When it comes to facade cleaning and surveying, the use of drones could be the way forward. From a design risk perspective this is a tangible step forward, that removes the potential of a human having to go over the edge of a building. #principaldesigner #ukconstruction #construction #cdm #safetyprofessionals #projectmanagement #iM2ltd
Are drones the future of façade cleaning….? Perhaps one of many solutions; iM2 ltd were delighted to be joined last week by Chris Miles Director at KTV Working Drone for an introductory session on the use of Drones for building façade access and maintenance operations and the benefits of using an alternative drone solution to avoid working at height and provide access to constrained or city central buildings where other solutions are not always feasible. Great to have David Tucker and Matthew Brown from Landsec with us also to join the conversation. #healthandsafety #facadeaccess #iM2 #drones

"It's been leaking for eighteen months" 🤔 It only took about three minutes with the drone to find the reason why. No disruption, no inconvenience, no risks, and no hurting the Estate Manager's strained budget. Just a five minute flight with a small drone during a programme of maintenance inspection work across the estate. It's what drones are good for. #roofinspection #drones #buildingsurveying #estatemanagement

The popularity and use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) have increased exponentially over the past decade. Drones are progressively being used by body corporates and insurance firms to inspect the outside of tall buildings. Drones could mean big savings for strata communities when checking on things like window safety and structural integrity, but their use has prompted “Peeping Tom” concerns from some strata residents. Whether for commercial or recreational purposes it is important to consider how the use of drones can affect your strata community.
