In our recent knowledge sharing, we explored all-luxury airlines like Beond and La Compagnie, offering a hybrid experience between a private jet and a commercial flight at more affordable prices than more established carriers. Highlights include their swift turnaround with smaller fleets like BeOnd's 44-seat A319, contrasting past challenges La Compagnie experienced with larger planes like Boeing 757. However, reaching economies of scale poses a key challenge for this type of players, potentially impacting pricing and slot accessibility at airports. One interesting market Beond is exploring is the stopover routes. I visited #Emirates_Airlines' 777 and A380 aircraft. Here is a quick #benchmark: #A380 aircraft - Economy: 344 seats - Premium Economy: 56 seats - Business: 76 seats - First Class: 14 seats - Cabin Crew: 24 members #777aircraft - Economy: 310 seats - Business: 42 seats - First Class: 6 seats - Cabin Crew: 12 members It is important to note that these seat #capacities can vary depending on the aircraft #configuration. One interesting aspect is that the number of cabin crew varies based on the passenger load. This model is applied by some luxury, premium and 5 star airlines, where the cabin crew complement depends on the #load_factor and the actual number of passengers on board. However, some luxury and premium airlines always go with the #full cabin crew complement regardless of whether it is a light load or a full load. Low cost airlines often operate with the #minimum required cabin crew. I had a chat with a cabin crew member during my visit and in the attached video, you can see our conversation where he explains how the cabin crew complement adjusts with the passenger load factor.
